What I want from ffr…
first of all ffr needs to keep up its awsomenes, because ffr is awsome
second of all, as a game designer I think it would be great if ffr had a new genre that had 13 standard stages with 1 special stage. Each standard stage would be about 30 seconds long, the first stage would be difficulty 1, the second would be difficulty 2… all the way up to difficulty 13. The 14th stage would be all of the 13 stages seemed together to make one 6 and a half minute long song.
This way players could guage how good they are by what level they can complete. They would also be able to test all of the skill combined into one ultimate ffr song.
That is what I want from ffr.

At the end of a song in the results page, I want to see the max combo of a song underneath my highest combo, that way I can gauge how well I did instead of adding up goods, perfects, averages, and misses.

The ability to create and save your own songs and play them the ability to make your own step skins on ffr exp system where the higher level you are, the more credits you earn from songs. More people to chose from on the bottom of the screen an im system on ffr as well

The biggest thing I think needs to happen is to change the scoring of songs. Combos should have absolutely zero impact on the final score. It’s pretty stupid when I can randomly mash my way through a 2000+ note song, having a crap load of goods, averages, and boos and yet still do a lot better than if I were to miss 1 note in the middle of the song and have the rest be nothing but perfects…does anyone else see something wrong with this?

While I would technically agree with the above, combo-based scoring is part of what defines FFR. And then again, you could use that argument against me as well, saying how a makeover should be in order. But a lot of people are afraid of FFR becoming too similar to other rhythm games.

While I may agree with a lot of what has been said I would have side with adding Dubstep remixes to the bunch, since that has become ever-present in teenage and young adults society! With the addition the overall membership statistic is likely to increase at a mores rapid pace, paving the way for more songs that fit the quota for the attending and playing audience! So Dubstep in and of it’s own will more than likely help spread the overall experience to those who otherwise can’t find it on here!

Dubstep genre would probably be the best thing you can do to this game right now to make it instantly more enjoyable to a GINORMOUS audience including myself. And yes, the lag spikes are killing me….There’s no way I can ever get my AAA count anywhere near my FC count

Dubstep is over rated. I don’t want dubstep in because
a) It would be 10s 11s, and 12s because people step songs to max potential almost all the time
b) the current songs kinda sound like crap that are in 11/12, to have more of the same junk would almost be a diss to the better players.

@StringsnKeys and Emithith, your taste in music is opinion, whether it be a general agreement from the majority or not. If you want more musicality in the upper difficulties, try to step something. The public’s opinion on the music in-game is pretty much worthless when it is ultimately the step-artists that choose what they are stepping.

That was my objective statement, now for my opinion: I think some dubstep would be nice. We should have an easy one or two, but more difficult ones are fun imo, and I’d welcome them. I’m actually almost done stepping one. I see where you are coming from, but I, like I’m sure a relatively decent size of the community of better players, rather enjoy a lot of the 11/12 songs.

I love the 11/12/13 difficulties. I don’t see a problem with them period. Just because they are all of a different genre than persay most of the lower difficulties doesn’t mean they are “bad.” The ‘sound’ of the music is what makes the difficulty, if you ask me. They sound more drum and bass etc. etc. which makes for harder files. Just because ‘you’ don’t like them, doesn’t make that opinion sufficient.

I know I’m late to this discussion, but i think it would be less of a hassle to be able to use the scroll wheel on the mouse to choose the song when you bring down the search section, instead of having to click on the scroll bar.
I know this is something small, and insignificant, but im sure alot of people would enjoy this little tweak.

Umm… this is probably gonna get alot of downs but maybe could you make a little selection of songs for multiplayer that have more then one level? Like say… You could either play on easy standard or hard and the other person also has a choice between those levels. So you could have one person playing easy and one playing hard in the same mp round…I ask this because I have friends who play on like level 3 and friends who play on like level 10 and I just want everyone to have fun ._. just asking~…

@565mae10: actually, a lot of people have asked similar questions regarding multiple difficulties of a song. Realistically, this probably cannot be done on every song, but I’d imagine some songs may warrant a few extra difficulties. There are already a few examples on this site, but each difficulty of a chart is listed as an individual song (e.g. [light]/[standard]/[heavy]). Seeing how several people want some part of this, I’ll try to do two difficulties for a few songs in the future.
