I have to create the song file first dip****
I need to put this: #TITLE:; #SUBTITLE:; #ARTIST:; #TITLETRANSLIT:; #SUBTITLETRANSLIT:; #ARTISTTRANSLIT:; #CREDIT:; #BANNER:; #BACKGROUND:; #CDTITLE:; #MUSIC:; #MUSICBYTES:0; #MUSICLENGTH:; #OFFSET:; #SAMPLESTART:; #SAMPLELENGTH:; #SELECTABLE:YES; #BPMS:0.000=140.000; #STOPS:; #BGCHANGES:; in notepad, then put that into a file in stepmania, but I need to save the notepad as a .sm and macs can't do that |

Re: .sm file extension problems
Save it as something else, and rename it with the .sm extension afterwards?

Despite the foul language, this is true. Go to Stepmania tools and packages explorer in your program files, or under Start/Programs/Stepmania and it'll be there, and on the bottom press create song. Choose your mp3, and there ya go.

Re: .sm file extension problems
Download any random file, take the .sm from it, clear it's data, and put in yours.

Re: .sm file extension problems
Go to Start/All Programs/Stepmania/Stepmania Tools and Package Exporter/Create Song/(insert whatever song you want to step)
Then it will automatically create a .sm file. EDIT: ninja'd

Re: .sm file extension problems
Im trying to grab step files off of the FFR simfile database, but they are compressed zip files (i think). Those cant be used in Stepmania. How do I convert them or otherwise make them playable in Stepmania? I dont care if it changes it to .sm (which i think has to be done) or it some other random method. It just has to be free and not too time consuming.
Thanks. (pc, btw) |
