Save it as something else, and rename it with the .sm extension afterwards?

That doesn't work on a Mac as far as I know.

sc979 is right.

Despite the foul language, this is true. Go to Stepmania tools and packages explorer in your program files, or under Start/Programs/Stepmania and it'll be there, and on the bottom press create song. Choose your mp3, and there ya go.

here's my stepmania folder:

I can't find any "smpackage" or "tools". When I go into packages it only has the instruction.txt in there.

Download any random file, take the .sm from it, clear it's data, and put in yours.

Go to Start/All Programs/Stepmania/Stepmania Tools and Package Exporter/Create Song/(insert whatever song you want to step)

Then it will automatically create a .sm file.

EDIT: ninja'd

ITT nobody reads the OP.

Seriously, he's on a Mac yet you people were telling him to do stuff on XP, the screenshots even point it out. lmfao

EDIT: Sorry, it just bugs me when ever people assume that everyone uses Windows.

Im trying to grab step files off of the FFR simfile database, but they are compressed zip files (i think). Those cant be used in Stepmania. How do I convert them or otherwise make them playable in Stepmania? I dont care if it changes it to .sm (which i think has to be done) or it some other random method. It just has to be free and not too time consuming.

Thanks.
(pc, btw)
