2 n00b questions, 1 thread.
Hey guys! Here are my n00b questions.
1. I uploaded a simfile recently here So far so good, it shows up and can be downloaded. BUT, it's not playable here in the simfile database. The music plays but there are no arrows. Meh, that's sad. Is there something I didn't put correctly in the zip? What happened? 2. Alright, this is getting real n00b-ish now. How can you make your song appear in FFR R1? Do you have to win some kind of huge contest or whatever? Anyway, thanks for everything. |

Re: 2 n00b questions, 1 thread.
1. Eh no, it doesn't have anything of that! I read what said that should be in it and what shouldn't, everything seems ok. Though when i get to then dlwnload page, some people have colored numbers on the right of the page (what is that, anyway?) while I get "Time Change". Whew, im confused.
2. That didn't help at all... xD |

1. Time change means that you added in stops/bpm changes :P
You probably just had a BPM "change" in there, but the BPM that was identical. 2. Sorry lawl :P |

Re: 2 n00b questions, 1 thread.
To get a file into FFR, you have to make a file with no un-needed BPM changes or stops, such as if you had a temporary slowdown/speedup in the file to add an effect. You also can't have a mine or a freeze, as flash can't support it. You also can't have and quads or hands if the file is easier than an FMO. Any ridiculous jacks are also not permitted. Once you think the file is all good and perfected, you send it to tasselfoot@gmail.com. You can only send the file when submissions are open. I'm pretty sure they are currently open, but they are going to close soon. You HAVE to attach the file to the e-mail, not a link or Tass will ignore it. Then the file goes through the judging process where some judges test the file. If all the judges agree on the file, then it gets put into the queue. The judges usually give a review on your file in the Batch Review Thread. Once the file is in the queue, then you have to wait until they add it into the game, which could take a while. The file usually the goes through the "subby test" process, where it is released to subscribers only for, I believe, two weeks. After that it gets released to the public.
