Default Finding an a capella version of a song.

I'm learning how to use FL Studio with the demo before I buy it, and I wanted to do a tutorial on remixes, but I need a vocal track of a song before I can do the tut.
So my question is, what are some good places to find a capella versions of songs?

Usually singles/vynils of songs have the original song, the acapella version, the instrumental version and a bunch of (usually bad) remixes. So yeah, either you buy the singles or you obtain it in another fashion...

We pretty much can't help you out since it would be illegal and against the FFR rules.
But Google is your best friend just treat 'er right.

Before you lock, there are some acapellas in the FL Sudio folders
Misc > Used by Demo songs, they're not much, but they could help

This was what I was going to suggest.

C:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 8\Data\Patches\Misc\Used by demo projects--more specific location. You can do a lot with what FL gives you. ;) Example: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/149260 <-- all vocals are used from FL demos.

If you don't wanna do this, you can always try equalizing out the sounds other than the vocals in whichever song you wanna remix, but you can't ever make a 100% clean a capella this way and it's kind of a bitch to do (iirc this is what cornandbeans did for his Forever Young remix).

What song were you trying to get? I could probably get it for you.

@ hoochan

I don't know if you'll get this, but I desperately need the acapella version of "I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You" by Colin Hay. I've scoured the internet and can't find it. Any advice?

Indeed. I know it's a shot in the dark, but I am doing a song about losing my fiancee of two years to my own actions. It's important to me, so I took a chance. Ha.

Why not just make your own thread?
