Ketsarku Mozgalom
I need help. I can PA Blue Rose and Frictional Nevada way better then I can this, and they are all the same difficulty. I don't know how to improve, I can usually SDG up to 1k combo, but then the last 600 notes i get hundreds of goods. My current record is 34-2-0-4 I think. But I've had nice runs, like the following replay shows:
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...play/26307228/ Too bad I autofailed out at a dumb part..anyways, I need tips --BESIDES PRACTICE--to help my PA on this song. Stepmania is not an option, I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do with my hands or my computer to help a little. I've been playing it for about an hour, and I've been hanging around 40 goods. Here are some recent ss's (WARNING, THEY ARE BAD). When I play the song, I feel like I'm doing good...but then I see the result screen. x.x HELP!!

Re: Ketsarku Mozgalom
I HATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS.
Seriously, this has happened to me on more than one occasion. The only thing I can suggest is to set an autofail marker, and PLOW your way through the song. As far as your hands or computer? Nothing I can really think of other than turning off outside programs, or explorer.exe (if running an XP). |

Re: Ketsarku Mozgalom
Dude, what is it about Ketsarku that eveyone finds SO hard about it? It's plum easy for me. Although my best score is 7-0-0-2 I am sure I can AAA if I watched the whole song arrow for arrow.

I have Kubuntu so I have no outside programs active, although I do get random lagspikes on ffrndanotherway.swf. Phynx - I don't find the song hard either, but I get so many random goods all over the place.

Re: Ketsarku Mozgalom
The song itself isn't that bad, but the way it's structured, it's really easy to get random goods.

Re: Ketsarku Mozgalom
I've taken a screenshot of all the problem spots IMO.
all of these pics are taken on 2.0x There's really only 5 distinct patterns. 6824 rolls, 4286 rolls, 4826 rolls, 64 82 64 82 64 28 46 46 46 (jumps that occur after rolls) and the tricky purple section. This is the 64 82 64 82 46 46 46 jumping section. Also be aware of some random 64th notes hidden in the song. This is a really fast triple. 4826 rolls (Pay attention to the jump at the bottom of this screenshot) 4826 rolls part 2 (NOTE THE SPACE AT THE START OF THIS) Though I find that most people will have trouble on the purple section, which is why I have so much screenshots of it: You have a 486 486 triplet Followed by a 624 624 triplet Then a 284 628 triplet and a small finishing roll. These are all taken at approximately 900-1600 notes of the song. After this the song is simple. You can use these screenshots to study the patterns. Hopefully i've gotten some of the hard spots.

Re: Ketsarku Mozgalom
Hmmm, let me post my ideas here. These are my typical problem spots, maybe we share the same.
These SS's are all on 1.5x. Already mentioned, that awkward, almost quad like set of taps. Eww. :P This pattern happens more than once, but it's combination of LUDR rolls into a LD UR jump sequence. Really tough to get if you are saying that you do rolls as supposed to o.o; PA problem here, the rhythm switches suddenly--I missed this part a little bit when trying to get the SS, I just passed it up, but it's a small roll and a combo of off rhythm jumps. Same as the second picture, but a different roll pattern. |

Re: Ketsarku Mozgalom
weird. Ketsarku is my only 6 point TP req... 20-0-0-1. was a pretty lucky run, but i can do 30 or less almost every time. hardest part for me is FCing around 1100ish, one of the 32nd into jump patterns that is SSed above.
haven't whored FN nearly as much, but my best run is closer to 40 goods on that. so, not really sure what your issue is... maybe trouble with the alternating jumps?

I can read it really well, but when it comes to some of the weird patterns, I don't know how to interpret their rhythms.

Re: Ketsarku Mozgalom
This is definitely NOT one of my favorite songs. I don't remember if I even bothered to play through all of the song, but by the looks of the screen shots the arrows are placed in awkward places.

Re: Ketsarku Mozgalom
Hit the 32nds and 64ths REALLY early. I mean like, pushing the border of the early perfect border, because any subsequent press that might be slightly late has less chance of throwing you a random good.
For any fast song, particularly the Venetian Snares songs (FN, Ketsarku, Szerencsetlen, etc.) the best advice without picking apart the chart I can give is hitting the notes early. Also, while it's good to keep in mind parts you mess up, getting too anxious and anticipating it often leads to you messing up. Psychology will toy with your score a lot. I had trouble with the initial pattern of Rottel, and the more I played/anticipated that section, the more goods I would hit. I gave up, didn't touch it for 3 days, AAA'd it first shot. Anxiety and whoring might also be a problem here.
