F*CK!!! What do you do when...

You are 5 seconds away from getting Oni and your Dad calls you to come downstairs and you hit 1-3 goods?

I was playing Turkish March for about 1 hour and then I made it to the near end of the song with all perfects, then my Dad called me to come down and take my medicine, I yelled "Hold on a sec!" And he called me again, this time threatening to ground me if I didn't come down, so I yelled again, but at that time I hit one of the jumps at the last 7 jumps (the red-orange-red-pink-red part of the song, you know what I'm talking about), and I hit 3 goods, I passed with rank 24 and felt like killing myself, ****! What should I do?

Should realize it's just a game and get over it because it's not a big deal.

I just replay it. However, if im really angry about the results, I just take a small break, or just wait till the next day. Anger tends to make me screw up quicker and/or more often.

Yeah just try again there is nothing that we can do, all we can say is too bad your dad called or to bad you have to take medicine.

I got 1-0-0-1 on it and don't feel like playing it again, good in last 100 notes.

EXACT SAME THING happened to me today, except it was on sympathizer, at around 1800 combo, my dad called me to dinner and I ****ed up and got 3 goods as well

but I have already have oni so....:/

man, oni's overrated anyways, seriously...just try again later

I'm with DbX here. It's a Flash game. About arrows. What do you even mean, "What should I do?" You're not even a situation where there's anything to be done. <.< It's not like you were able to *ZAP!* freeze FFR on the exact moment your dad threatened to ground you, and now suddenly you're either getting grounded or you're AAAing (or whatever it's called) a song and only will the moment be able to proceed once you have a conclusive response from your fellow FFRians.

EDIT: Oh yeah, 666 posts. Boy, I sure am evil.

throw the keyboard at your dad, then take the medicine, then buy a new keyboard.

It's not what I would do but go for it anyways because i barely read what i type half the time.

This happened to me once, but it was when I was trying to AAA Computer Dreams. :P The computer is right next to the house phone, and I'm always at the computer. Anyways, I decided to play Computer Dreams for a while until I AAA. As I was about to reach the end of the song (where the up-right[?] and left-right jumps are consecutively), and the phone rang. My mom, watching The Filipino Channel (which distracts me from AAAing, so AAAing is hard for me, also, don't be racist to me, even though I don't understand **** on that channel) yelled, "Alex (yes, that's my name

), get the phone!" I told her to hold on a minute. So, I'm almost AAAing the song, until my mom yelled the same thing again, which made me get a perfect and a good on the last jump. ;( Anyways, I got the phone, and told her, "Thanks a lot, bitch." Even though, I was lucky she can almost never hear what I say, at 50 years old.

You can tell I was pissed off, so I decided to go on the fourms and look around, which cooled me down a bit, hoping to never post this on the forums. I forgave my mom the day after. My advice to you is just to probably stop playing FFR for a day, and don't do anything stupid to your dad that might forbid you to even go on FFR. Well, that's what I think.

PS OH **** I JUST TOLD THAT DAMN STORY I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER POST! DAMNIT! :[

To the people saying "It's just a game", I'm sure he's not going around IRL moaning about how he ALMOST got Oni but didn't. It's fustrating so he's venting it in the correct place. It's not like he killed his dad over this.
