Question about scoring
Well, I noticed there is a page that tells you how to get the skill tokens, so I'm focusing on some of the more "possible" ones right now.... ^_^ Simply passing Torinouta sounded easy, and it was, but..... I have a question about my final score..... here is a screenshot......
Bad, I know. =/ I'm trying to get better. u_u I'm just not used to FFR's timing. Also, I'm aware of that glitch. What I want to know is why my score is soooo far off of the high score even though I got mostly Perfects. I mean, I didn't think I'm THAT bad...... :( I hope I didn't miss this in a sticky somewhere, I did read stickies. |

Re: Question about scoring
No, the main thing in scoring is combo. If you get a high combo, but low perfect accuracy, then you will get a high score.
It is a wierd scoring system, but it advocates mashing and not focusing on accuracy.

Re: Question about scoring
Oh. That's odd indeed. Well thank you. :)
Also, does anybody know where to get 40 credits in a song? I don't know if a lot of songs do that but I'd just like a suggestion or two, I think I can do it. ;) |

And yes, score is mostly determined by combo. Full Combo with bad PA beats good PA with low combo 99% of the time. That might change in the future with 3rd style being developed as we speak.

Re: Question about scoring
I don't think so, That's one of the few things that keeps FFR as a different game from stepmania. if FFR became PA based, it would basically become Stepmania.

Re: Question about scoring
Any song with over 1300 notes will get you 40 creds for a fc.
Scoring: 1000*combo + 550*perfs + 275*goods + 55*ave - 20*boos - 310*miss that is the exact formula. Check the stickies, they have all kinds of this standard info and tips. Third style will have a stronger focus on pa.

Re: Question about scoring
Thanks for the info, Mr. Tasselfoot. I'm going to go check the Song List and click on some songs and see if they meet the score requirement. :)

Re: Question about scoring
Basically, you need to score 2,000,000 points on a song to get 40 credits (This isn't actually exact for some odd reason, because even though it's a 50,000:1 ratio of score:credits, extra credits creep in here and there, and I think you can get 40 creds on like, 1,925,000 and up of thereabouts, maybe 1,950?)
Traditionally, a full combo of 'Song for the Nihonjins' is considered one of the easiest ways to get 40 credits. |
