Roller Coaster Tycoon games
I like the game a lot. The game itself sorta died off, but still has a fun concept. I have them all and my favorite is the second one. The third one is good for riding the roller coasters and such, but it lags a bit and takes awhile to load a park.
Discuss the old game lol. ~DAshoe93~ |

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon games
The original was a groundbreaking game with enough expansion material to kill a baby. The second expanded on that concept and made it so much better.
Chris Sawyer is a god of simulation games for coming up with that himself. The third.... I didn't like it too much. I played it for around a hour then got bored of it. Then again, it ran like **** on my computer. I may give it another run after I finish playing Stubbs the Zombie. Hey DS, you have any of your old parks on you? Back when RC2 was released, I had a fairly badass modified version of Six Flags Belgium. |

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon games
I loved making my own roller coasters and I really liked seeing how well my park could make a profit. I wish they would make an updated version that was better than RCT3.

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon games
Roller coaster Tycoon, Zoo tycoon, loved 'em.
I'm in love with the original RCT but I got RCT 3 for the random extras. Making fireworks was pretty cool though I don't/didn't see how it benefited your park. Making a doomed-to-destruction coaster and riding it first person to it's explosion was interesting. Creating roller coasters with unfinished tracks to deliberately harm park guests was fun. Was it me, or did they take away deaths in RCT 3? I swear the guests would die in accidents in RCT 1 but not in RCT 3. Either way, great games. |

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon games
I haven't played roller Coaster Tycoon in such a long time. I used to spend almost every day playing it non-stop when I first got it.
I think I'll start playing it again.

I still play my Roller coaster Tycoon game. I still didn't get passed Katies World yet. It's been a while, but I still love the game, no matter how hard it is. The graphics may not be the best, but it's ok.

I also completed Loopy Landscapes and working on Corkscrew Follies. The first one with the expansion packs have soso to challenging scenarios. The second one's Scenarios get a bit boring after awhlie since having them all to begin with doesnt make you want to do them. The third one's objectives are all completely different. You need to do three things three times, only they get harder up. Any other info, just ask. ~DAshoe93~ |

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon games
That game is great. I still haven't completed loopy landscapes and corkscrew follies yet though. Those parks where you have to finish developing the rollercoasters with highly intense excitement ratings are bitches.

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon games
It's a fun series, but I like the original with the expansion packs was the best because of all of the unlockable theme parks.

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon games
For some odd reason my new computer can't install the expansion packs. =/ Anyway, I remember Arid Heights was the was greatest fun to screw around in. I think my sister and I beat all the original scenarios twice since they all got erased the first time. Also rebeat almost all the orignals again on my other computer. Many hours were spent on that awesome game.
PS as a side note, has anyone played the Caesar series? Really fun as well once you get the hang of it. |

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon games
I kind of lost interest after the series expanded; I never really liked any of the others as much as I did the original.
I always enjoyed designing my own coasters, and pretty much perfecting them - having a high excitement rating with a low to medium intensity and nausea rating. I'd like to start playing again, but I can't find the CD for it =( |

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon games
With Rollercoaster Tycoon and Loopy Landscapes, I had a sick park in the free park place. It was literally, like Disney World, it was that organized and big.
Unfortuanately, I drowned everyone and made an army of stone dinosaurs and preteneded like they took it over. The End. |

Re: Roller Coaster Tycoon games
I LOVE THIS GAME
Started playing this again recently, owned the **** out of infernal views (rollercoaster tycoon 2). Some of my custom made babies: Lava flow. Was trying to go for a mountain / canyon type ride with waterfalls and crap. Tons of fun making it. Haunted halls. I didn't like the other castle rides, so I modified the style and made my own. Bloodrush and Hyper Pressure. Best rollercoasters I've ever made. Post some of your guys's coasters and other rides. |
