"Game Level Stats" Add-on
I think that when you go under "Game Level Stats" and select a song title, it should display more info about the song. Possibly the same info that pops up in the corner at the beginning of each song during the game (song artist, stepfile artist, song difficulty, etc.). I know info about the song can be viewed when you click on it once throughout the song menus in the game, but I think it would be a nice touch to have in this area. Something more to look at than just the top 25 players of the song and it may give more attention to artist(s) who worked hard to make the song possible on ffr. Would this be unworthwhile for r1 or is it not an idea to be considered all together?

well, the thing about it is that the top25 and stuff is pulled straight from the database. not sure what would require doing to get the rest of the information. AND where to put it on the page.

Re: "Game Level Stats" Add-on
Ah, I see...Well, I have little, if any, knowledge on how information is set up on each page. Is there a way to have a separate region on the page, say on the top of the page above the top 25 players, that would be connected to a different source containing the song info? I'm not sure if that makes complete sense, but if it does, is that a possibility?

Re: "Game Level Stats" Add-on
Okay, so is a source with the song info already in place or is that something that would be needed to be created? Either way is this looking like too much of a process to go through for something that is more of an "eye candy" than most will care to have?
On a side note, sorry for all the questions. Just trying to get a better understanding of how this may work. |

I really have no idea. I don't have access to the database to know what information is stored there. So I don't know if it would be a simple query or not to get the info.
To display it is simple. Whether the information can easily be pulled or not is what I'm unsure of. Because it would be a real pain in the ass to have to do it manually.

Yeah, it would be cool if we could implement this idea with ease. Perhaps Synthlight could look into it in the near future.

and maybe putting the genre too, theres so many times where i look at my level ranks, click on a song, and cant find the freaking genre anywheres. So i have to go through all the genres looking for just one song thaty i need to improve. I know this is only a problem for me because im a noob and dont know where many of the songs are but for the sake of other noobs it would help a lot

Re: "Game Level Stats" Add-on
Ah, good point. Also, as FFR grows and the number of songs increase, I can see how that would be needed more and more.
