Having this problem with standalone. Playing it through the browser is working fine though.

I got it pretty much right around the same time you did.

It's the reason why I stopped playing the new files, although I think the engine might not be as laggy on the site itself. Although that still kind of sucks considering FFR runs best in a standalone for me (and for pretty much everyone else).

Getting it too

I'm inclined to say Korean Madness has something to do with it

Welcome to the club.

Seriously I feel like I'm the only one who isn't getting it in like two seconds, and I have no idea why.

EDIT: I AM RETARDED, NO MORE! Although I think the hint is a bit dumb, the answer seems to be a bit of a leap from what you'd think in my opinion.

Here's something for you to think of

I've been having a lag problem with it since the last official

I had to go to the legacy engine due to it.

Yeah, the Velocity engine is basically unplayable. I'm using the Flash 9 standalone. I'm guessing Velocity did some kind of update and added new code that only works on the newer Flash versions.

It's actually playable (as in >10 fps) on the Flash 10 standalone, but then I get the typical mini lag spikes I get on every standalone that isn't Flash 9, so I'm not exactly gonna be using that either.

same problem here, wanted to make a vid of it dissing velo and blaming synthlight for it, but the one on the website was working fine. Made the switch to R^3, but I hate it.

It's happened before during the tournaments, it's something to do when adding levels that we haven't got a clue.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to second j-rodd: it is waaaaaaaaaay worse than the tournament for me too.

When it happened during the tournament, the engine was playable, but I was getting strong intermittent lag spikes (as opposed to rare, mini-lag spikes on regular days) on my laptop.

I'm playing on this older desktop that was able to run the Velocity engine at 30 FPS with absolutely no issue (i.e. runs better than the previously mentioned laptop) and now I'm struggling to break 5 FPS in menus/gameplay. Flash 9 normally runs on my desktop with minimal CPU usage, now it's capped at 99 when I use the engine D:

Good news. I believe I may have fixed the lagging on the Velocity engine, so check again.
