There's a tsunami coming...
...what am I going to do?
On a more serious note, it's coming in about 25 minutes. It's supposedly going to be small, but it doesn't hurt to prepare for the worst and to hope for the best amirite? Re: There's a tsunami coming...
Fortunatly I'm far enough in-land where I know I'm pretty much safe. I'm just worried about friends and family that may potentially be close to shore.

Re: There's a tsunami coming...
Lmfao LongGone, it's keeping me optimistic, and thanks for your concerns Anyways, it seems like the tsunami waves that have come in so far have been relatively small, but tsunamis come in multiple waves and the first wave usually isn't the biggest, so we still don't have the all clear yet, but it seems like everything's going to be all right

Find a building or parking garage and get as high as you can. Or grab an innertube and hold on. Good luck and stay dry.

Re: There's a tsunami coming...
oh god I died.
Aside from the fact that you're more worried about letting FFR know about the Tsunami than actually finding some ways irl to avoid it.. Piplups are Water types and can surf anything. Surf the fukken wave dood. (^)> edit: oh wait the Tsunami is LongGone. /kill thread Last edited by Pseudo Enigma; 10-28-2012 at 12:15 PM.. |

Re: There's a tsunami coming...
Assuming you're referring to that 7.7 quake that happened off the BC coast a few days ago, there really shouldn't be too much of a tsunami, considering that the earthquake was caused by horizontal strike-slip fault movements. It's when water is displaced by vertical fault movements that big tsunamis occur.
Did everything go ok for you? |

Re: There's a tsunami coming...
Update: There were no reported injuries or major property damage. The tsunami warning was downgraded to an advisory. I'm not sure if the advisory has been cleared, but it basically means people can be relatively close to the shore, but they should still be cautious about being in the water, something about how the water still acts funky after a tsunami.
