The Hunger Games
I went and saw this movie today instead of going to school, woot.
In terms of watching a movie it was meh, the characters were cool. In terms of watching a book, however, it was very accurate, so good job there. Yu guyz zeen it? |

Re: The Hunger Games
Saw it. Thought it was really good. Haha. I haven't seen a book-to-movie rendition that good in awhile.
Also, yeah, there some really loud and obnoxious idiots (from my school, no less) in my showing as well. .-. Was not happy. |

Re: The Hunger Games
watched it and i feel that they left out key details that you wouldn't know unless you actually read the book
enjoyed it non-the-less though

Re: The Hunger Games
Just got back from it. Our theater cheered multiple times and we screamed our heads off ._.

Re: The Hunger Games
I work at a theatre (didn't work today, saw the movie though!), and I swear we sold out six theatres for tonight's prime round of screenings (6:45-8:00), selling easily about ~1400-1500 tickets. Oh, and the movie was very good by itself but missed a lot of details from the book. Very well done though, I gave it an 8.5/10.

Re: The Hunger Games
Saw it at the midnight premier. It was good. Could have been better.
Less gore was needed- The book was intended more for children and i know alot of kids got scared watching that movie last night. |

Re: The Hunger Games
I'm dying to see it but I'm waiting to see it with Rob. Unless my mom decides to drag me to it because she read the books too. Like others have said, I don't want the movie ruined for me by screaming fans so whatever~

Re: The Hunger Games
Just saw tonight, wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was due to overhype, but it was pretty awesome. Really glad that I was able to understand what was going on without having to read the books unlike all of the harry potter movies. The clapping, cheering and whooping in the theater was kinda unnecessary, but whatever, I could never get into a book or movie like that.

Re: The Hunger Games
This movie was definitely worth seeing. I never read any of the books, but man it really drags you in
It has an extremely interesting premise right off the bat |

Re: The Hunger Games
Midnight premiere, oh hell yes. It was awesome. Of course there were a few things they did wrong and a few things they could have done better but all in all the movie was an excellent experience and it was much better than I expected. Oh and there really wasn't any screaming to be had. A bit of typical movie theater chitter-chatter from some folks who just cant keep their mouths shut but otherwise the crowd was respectful.

Re: The Hunger Games
Since the Author of the book also wrote the screenplay for the movie it was bound to be pretty damn good regardless.
Saw it last night. Loved it. |

Re: The Hunger Games
I can't get myself excited to see it. Read the first book and had had enough. The author's writing style is way too bland for my tastes, and the whole thing felt like Battle Royale + Twilight the entire way through. Also, there were too many lame deaths. Overall, potential wasted.
Then again, who knows -- maybe I'd like the movie more, but I am skeptical. |

Re: The Hunger Games
I have two things to say on this subject
One: This was my first reaction when I found out about this book. Two: From all people that work at a movie theater, stop. Just stop. |
