($10,000 prize) nVidia NVArt 06: Moving Innovation
This is NOT limited to 3d artists, so I hope you photoshoppers out there will enter this as well. I tried entering this competition with my Syd Mead jet car last year but didn't finish in time. This year's requirements are much easier!
Your task is to design what you think high tech gadgetry will look like in the next decade. Seems like they are putting a HUGE emphasis on being really creative this year, so whatever you dream up, goes...but it still needs to be plausible. The prizes are as follows: * 1ST PRIZE Winner * $10,000 USD cash * 2 x NVIDIA Quadro 6000 * 2ND PRIZE Winner * $2,000 USD cash * 2 x NVIDIA Quadro 6000 * 3RD PRIZE Winner * $1,000 USD cash * 1 x NVIDIA Quadro 6000 * 4TH PRIZE Winner * 1 x NVIDIA Quadro 6000 * 5TH PRIZE Winner * 1 x NVIDIA Quadro 6000 Those Quadro 6000 cards retail at around $4,000 each, and yes...it will ****ing run Crysis. Deadline for entries is June 16th! http://challenge.cgsociety.org/nvart06 Last edited by darkshark; 05-9-2011 at 04:40 PM.. |

I'll even go out on a limb here. If you simply draw up a quick sketch of how your product would work/look like, I'll create it in 3d and make it look kick ass, if it places, we split the prize moneh.
I'll probably be submitting at least 5 designs. |

If they're all good concepts then I make 15 3d models. Just read over the guidelines, make sure you put some real thought into it.

I have an idea for this but also a lot of homework...
D: Also, what would happen if you made something that ended up in 4th or 5th place? How would you split that with someone? lol

I'd sell the card, even I don't need something THAT powerful. Could go get 10 GTX 580's for the price of one Quadro 6000.

Talk/End call on bottom
Alternatively, Talk/End call buttons also as left/right click Doesn't have to be exact colours, shapes, etc. I just want a chance at half the cash xD

So what happens when you need to talk on the phone and use your computer at the same time?

Re: ($10,000 prize) nVidia NVArt 06: Moving Innovation
lol. Well good first try, and perfect mspaint picture too, that's pretty much all I would need to go off of.
The only idea I'm throwing around in my head right now is a wallet that has a digital photo frame on the front, and when you open it, there's a screen inside that tells you your remaining bank account/credit card balances in each card slot. Now that you opened up that can of worms, customstuff, what would you guys think about noise canceling headphones with built in phone? Last edited by darkshark; 05-9-2011 at 06:39 PM.. |

o0o0o0o Colton, nice first attempt! This is making me want to stop working on my essay and just try and brainstorm something haha x]
EDIT: Are you looking for ideas that fulfills two completely different tasks, preferably tasks that are of greater importance? Or not necessarily? Last edited by iironiic; 05-9-2011 at 07:03 PM.. |
