DDR Universe 3, Did it fail?
I have Dance Dance Revolution Universe 3 and surprisingly I didn't like it. The first two before that were OK. But the third had a weird way of doing things with the mandatory bonus round and the new Quest mode. I was wondering if anyone else has the same complaint or if you liked the game.

Re: DDR Universe 3, Did it fail?
I haven't played it but I wouldn't be surprised if it did suck more than any other previous DDR game. I don't know what the hell Konami is doing, but every single game they come out with starting with DDR SuperNova 1 has been a great deal worse than the last.

Yeah I agree with you, I have to get to the arcade and play the older versions; because the console versions of the game are going down hill fast. If anything they should bring back the original game for Play station and X-box.

Best thing to do is buy a USB pad (I think XBox is USB with an adapter you can remove) and play StepMania on it after downloading some pad packs.

Re: DDR Universe 3, Did it fail?
I did that for a while, but now I've just given up on most the games completely. Plus there is little space between my computer and my bed making fitting the mat in there damn near impossible.
I do like step mania though, I need to surf the forums for a few threads on advice on what songs to get. |

Re: DDR Universe 3, Did it fail?
I havn't bought a home DDR since ITG on the PS2. After that, I just lost interest and started playing more at arcades on hacked machines.
For the record, I had no clue there was a DDR Universe 3. Agreed.

Re: DDR Universe 3, Did it fail?
Yeah I stumbled upon it when I was searching for X-box 360 games. It had a lot of hype around it with new modes and stuff like that. I learned my lesson this time around.

Re: DDR Universe 3, Did it fail?
DDR on the console faded away years ago, don't listen to the hype anymore because the games are no longer worth it. Stepmania is free and can have all the songs your hard drive can handle.

Re: DDR Universe 3, Did it fail?
More like in the PS2 Era. DDR Extreme 2 was the last good DDR IMO.
IMO Get the ITG1-3 pad packs. Mungiodance also has some pretty good charts (Get the packs for SM not the full game), however the banners and backgrounds are pretty geared for furries which is pretty god damn stupid. The files are really good but if you don't like them, I suggest you delete the backgrounds as some of them aren't quite G rated. |

There is someone to blame for all the furries.

Max 2 and Extreme were the two best ones in my opinion.

Re: DDR Universe 3, Did it fail?
I think my intense love for the arcade version sparked the hate for the new console versions. DDR Universe 3 was a fresh breath of change but in my opinion anything deviating from the failing formula just crashed and burned.
But I did like Supernova ^^ |
