EAG wrecks Alaska.
I do not regret the trip. Alaska makes California and Washington look like a dump. I arrived at the airport on a Wednesday. Expecting a blizzard, I was welcomed with temperatures at high 50's and strangers looking at me as if I was something peculiar. I wonder why...
One aspect of Alaska that differs greatly from California is the scenery. There are mountains in every direction! Around the time of my arrival, snow was at a minimum since summer had ended not too long before. This mountain looks like a Leonid. =D The sky was cloudy the first few days. The winds on Thursday were Minaciousgrace strong. That same day (Thursday), I went through this tunnel that cuts through a mountain. Going at 25mph, it takes approximately fifteen minutes to reach the other side. Initially, the military constructed the tunnel to transport stuff, or something (I did not pay attention to the purpose of it). On the way home, we stopped by a creek, or whatever. The water tasted so TC_Halogen (sweet). I, also, went to the mall. To my surprise, it consisted of four floors, and not a Van's store in sight. They had a FootLocker with special sales, though. +1 On Friday, I found myself at the Chocolate Factory. As you walk in, you can't help but notice the giant chocolate fountain. Supposedly, it is the biggest in the world measuring 20 feet with three tons of chocolate, I think. Behind me there are massive chocolate bars that you can't eat. /fail Saturday morning, I visited the marsh. All of the birds had migrated and I did not see any animals, except for Sakish lurking about. I wanted to see an Otter. =[ Good thing I visited the Conservation Animal Thingy. There, I saw mooses, bisons (their heads are massive! No wonder they become hunchedback as they get older), Dossar, an eagle, black bears, grizzly bears, Bambi, etc... I'm too lazy to upload pictures. On Sunday, I awoke in a Motel 6 in Fairbanks, seven hours away from Anchoridge. The halls smelled like MrRubix and the continental breakfast was of fail. I had a tiny muffin and a small cup of milk... Soon after, we headed out for the Chena Hot Springs! By far one of the most amazing experiences in my life. I recommend the hot springs to anyone who has plans on visiting Alaska. Indoors... Outdoors... If I recall correctly, the temperatures were at high 20's, yet the water was almost boiling. In a matter of seconds, the water on your hair would freeze as you stepped out. I was being retarded Monday afternoon. I boarded the plane the same night. Technically, Tuesday being at 12:30am. Starbucks! I arrived in Portland, Washington and headed off to Vancouver, Washington soon after. There for the hundreth time, I did nothing interesting but take pictures of myself in the outlets and mall. Treehouse. [=! I rode a pony. Mall: I like this picture. lol Thus, my two week trip comes to an end as I walk up this ramp. I had fun. Especially, at the malls. Ps. I still play from time to time on SM and I can vibrate now. I'll be comming back soon. Rawr! I'm sleepy, gnite.

Re: EAG wrecks Alaska.
I've been through that same tunnel (at least I think we're talking about the same one) that goes to Whittier? It's p ****in' awesome.
As I recall, you posted in my Alaska thread in August. Glad you went, and glad you had a great time. It really is an awesome trip. I'm going to do my best to make it again. EDIT: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=111584 (if anyone wants to see more pics - most of you have already seen these though) Last edited by foilman8805; 11-8-2009 at 01:15 AM.. |

Whittier. As I exited, I saw a pier to my left... I remember your thread. You had really nice scenery pictures, iirc. I want to go again, too. It is worth it. Edit: Thanks leonid. <3

Re: EAG wrecks Alaska.
Yes, if you saw a pier to your left, then you must've driven from Anchorage to the tunnel, correct?
If so, you ended up in Whittier. |
