Owl City Song Permission (sort of)
So I don't know if you guys have heard of Owl City, but it's this one guy who does nice electronica and singing and stuff.
I emailed his rep and got this: Hi Macklin, Thanks for reaching out about using Owl City as part of the FFR game site. Due to our corporate audio policy, without an official deal with UMG, we would only be able to use 4 songs per artist, and only with 90 second clips. If this would still work for you, we can definitely make that happen. Let me know if you're still interested. Best, Jessica Jessica Bailis UMRG Pop/Rock Digital Marketing & Strategy 212-830-0832 jessica.bailis@umusic.com I already stepped one song, Dear Vienna, and submitted it, so I'm letting you guys know that you can step 3 more 90 second clips, if you want. |

90 seconds is.... pretty short for songs. A bit too short for these kind.
I know, i'll go send an email to UMG right now. |

Re: Owl City Song Permission (sort of)
I'd step Fireflies in a heartbeat if we weren't limited to 90 second clips.
