Default Mutation of the CCR-5 DELTA-32? Cure for HIV?

Check this out. It states why it hasn't been rushed to the media yet.

Apparently, because their researchers didn't discover the cure, but a clinician? They need to suck up their pride. It really is news of the century.

Dr Tran...be nice.

it's not a cure. it's the closest thing to a cure and it's very risky too.

I've actually known about this since '08. It's truly a medical breakthrough. Researchers need to get off their high horse and be a little less snobby. My step-mom helped find a vaccine for H1N1, what a bitch she is thinking she is all that in a bag of wavy lays potato chipsTM. It's about time someone from the lower end of the food chain get's some respect since Albert. Me and him are on a first name basis, he's my homeboy.

a real cure for HIV will be ostracized in any way possible cuz it's more convenient to sell medicines for a lifetime rather than obliterating the disease in one shot.

It doesn't seem like it's been tried on anyone else yet. I mean, is anyone testing this stuff right now? If it only works on, say, white people with leukemia and HIV and had a mother named Gertrude, then it's not really that great.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but still.

Are you sure it isn't just that you were biased and they made it unbiased which made you think it was biased?

It has been proven that one person did get cured from this. So, in essence, it's a cure. It's not as distinct as YOU may think, but none the less, it's a cure. (Whatever the complications and risks are, if someone was eradicated from the disease, it's a cure.)

Lol, Gertrude. Yeah, that's what I'm scared of, too. Considering the mutation is coming from European descent mainly. This is just the start, though.
