One of the best psp games in my opinion. Too bad there was never a large US community of it though.

Could you emphasize on that? And no, I'm not doubting your skill or anything. I'm just curious.

Re: dj max portable 2
Can play all modes..
4Key - 100% up to level 12s (13s are kind of non-100%able for me, a few 90s here and there) 5Key - generally don't play mode , probably can 100% up to 12 (13s, maybe 99.5%?) 6Key - 100% up to level 13s (not all of them though) 4BFX - I don't play this that much. 100% up to 12s? 6BFX (or 8Key) - play this half of the time (other than 6b) - can 100% up to a few 13s (not all of them) Maybe 98.X%, maybe 99 if lucky~ on Beat U Down 6B MX // 99.5%+ on Fermion MX? :P |

Re: dj max portable 2
Ha, yeah, you're good. What about Portable 1? I play Portable 1 the most compared to the others, mainly because I find the note charts to be the most fun. I would say I'm pretty good at it, but chances are not as good as you lol.

Re: dj max portable 2
Isn't it the only music game on the PSP?
Good game, I never really bothered to get good at it but I still play it for fun every now and then. I have the first and second, though I lost the second like two months ago and can't find it.. Last edited by [TeRa]; 09-25-2009 at 10:21 AM.. |

I play DJ Max as well. One thing I've never understood is how to place your fingers on the PSP - where are they supposed to go for 5B, 6B, and 8B? I tried playing 5B and 6B Stepmania solo style, but there's just not enough room for all my fingers on the buttons - they're just too closely crowded.

Re: dj max portable 2
project diva is too easy
4b = use thumbs only 6b = use thumbs only 5b = thumbs only also... 8b = thumbs for the Left/Up/Right , and Square/Triangle/Circle buttons index fingers for L/R |

Re: dj max portable 2
Yeah I never understood how to use thumbs...it basically restricts anything I can do. Using more fingers = better? I've never understood the theory behind why using thumbs is preferable. Elaborate?

Re: dj max portable 2
@WTFBrandon: DJ Max Black Square
@Breakdown16: Okay so.. If you use your thumbs ONLY for the Left/Right/Up , Square/Circle/Triangle.. You can slide them, you'll get used to it (trust me, just practice), and you can also hit 2 notes at once (by using thumb to cover 2 buttons at once, usually Left/Up and Triangle/Circle.) using more fingers = worse because it gives you less accuracy, because you have to time all your fingers to the beat, but if you use your thumbs only, it'll naturally give a synced feel (like, if you're hitting a stream of notes, using a finger for each button gives you a separated feel, but using a thumb only gives it more.. flow i guess..( for 4 buttons using 1 finger per button is totally fine, you can still get 100% on all 4button songs like this but starting from 6 button, it is impossible to get 100% on all the songs including lv13s because its just.. so uncoordinated with 6 fingers going at it at once.. i'll try to make a video of me playing Beat U Down LV 15 6bMX from black square sometime to show you what i mean by "rolling your thumbs" and "coordination" :P |

Re: dj max portable 2
you should play piano with your thumbs/1 finger on each hand because it's not possible to have rhythm with multiple fingers.
...don't you play this game spread lmfao Last edited by [TeRa]; 10-6-2009 at 08:33 PM.. |
