Cardman 2009 School Talent Show *Stage Performance*
Hey everyone! Just yesterday I was in my school talent show. I thought maybe I would share this experience with you all. Those who know me will enjoy this even more.
Here is the story (Short Version): This was a talent show event in Colonia High School. At the beginning; I dropped the box and then a few seconds later; the music got messed up. They had a lot of technical difficulties throughout the entire show. In the end, I performed after starting all over; and I was a success. I decided to keep all the clips in this video and I didn't omit the part where I had to start over because I wanted to give everyone the full experience of what it was like to be in this talent show. In the end, I won 2nd place and I had an amazing time with my family, friends, and myself. Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M02w0eHmXO4 Or you can go here: http://vimeo.com/4438734 Thank you for taking the time to watch me. |

Re: Cardman 2009 School Talent Show *Stage Performance*
Thanks for the comments everyone. The person who took first place was a girl who played piano. Though; alot of the audience after the show told me that they thought I should have won 1st place. Honestly; I am a winner to myself and in their eyes. I mean....when asked about the show many times before I had done it; I said, "I am not in it to win; I simply wish to gain the experience of my first stage performance ever, though it would be nice to have a trophy in my hands." In the end, I got the experience and a trophy. 1st; 2nd; or 3rd; it doesn't matter; I had fun and I gained a lot from it all. I hope my video gave you all a true experience of what I went through.

lol i was thinking of playing stepmania, or ddr for my talent show. but i was too lazy to bring my metal pad/ keyboard or whatever for the tryouts. i could have gotten in though. its unique you guys have trophys for your talent show. we dont have those, everyone just performs.

I'll be straight honest, video quality was so bad that I couldn't see what you were doing and gave up watching about three minutes in.
I'll take everyone else's word for it and award you an internet cookie of awesome.

With the fact it's hard to tell what your doing aside I was impressed. You should do a small instructional video one any of that. I'd love to see how its done. BTW: Dude you'd win our school's upcoming show hands down. (Or cards in the air if that's what you'd like.)

You should have played FFR and shuffle one handed at the same time. Either way though shuffling the cards like that is just insane.

I do card tricks myself. And though i am typing this before watching (it is loading) The one handed shuffle is qwuite an impressive trick. I use it at my local poker games regularly.
Close up magic is the balls though EDIT: 5 mins in and it's all flourishes so far... Do you have a close-up set worked out? And damn you are short bro...

As for any tutorials; we will see; there are plenty of them around youtube both bad and good. Juggling cards you say? It is very possible but I currently have not learned that yet. Thanks again for all the comments and sorry about the bad quality. If you like what you see; subscribe! I have many more videos planned for the future. |
