How would you feel if these were in FFR?
(NOTE: I'm not asking for them to be put in the game, I'm asking how people would feel if they were)
- Percentage scoring (Combo having no weight) - Multiple difficulties per song - The Song List having a search box (Type in "s", it'll only list songs that begin with that letter. Type in the full name, only your song comes up, etc) - In multiplayer, being able to select the other player's "circle", which would automatically select/load the song they're looking at. - For FFR to have visual BPM changes (As in, the notes will actually change speed mid-song, not just the timing. Stops would freeze the arrows in place) How would you feel?

Out of all of those suggestions; I feel that only Percentage Scoring is a good one. All the others excluding the last one; are nice but not necessary. I think that Percentage scoring would be better because someone who gets a FC with 40 goods should not win against someone with 0 goods and 1 miss.

Re: How would you feel if these were in FFR?
percentage scoring - not anytime soon
multiple difficulties per song - good idea but something that would not be implemented now, probably 3rd style (3rd style lol) song list search box - good idea but its not that hard to take an extra few seconds and scroll to the song multiplayer idea - i like BPM changes - dont think it will happen and honestly, id rather there arnt freezes and junk =/ |

Re: How would you feel if these were in FFR?
I like the 1st and 3rd ones.
The 1st one would REALLY lower my average rank. =D

It would be cool is you can choose a FFR to be used as the background music when you are in the main menu of FFR.

most of those suggestions are characteristics of stepmania that are different from ffr. I would really enjoy percentage scoring instead of combo

Re: How would you feel if these were in FFR?
- Percentage scoring- By this i would think you mean that whatever percent of notes you hit is your score? If so, I say no because since FFR you can mash, anyone could get 100% pretty easily.
- Multiple difficulties per song- no, this isnt SM, stick with FFR's idea of difficulties come as they go. - The Song List having a search box (Type in "s", it'll only list songs that begin with that letter. Type in the full name, only your song comes up, etc)- This one could come in handy, if you just cant think of the location, and are too lazy to search the list, then ya. But for now the list works good. - In multiplayer, being able to select the other player's "circle", which would automatically select/load the song they're looking at. - Um no, this just doesnt work, i dont like it. - For FFR to have visual BPM changes (As in, the notes will actually change speed mid-song, not just the timing. Stops would freeze the arrows in place) - No, once again, this isnt SM, we need to keep our suggestions like away from making this game more like SM, if you want these features, go play SM. |

Re: How would you feel if these were in FFR?
Percentage scoring would be great becuase I miss like 1 or 2 arrows a lot when I get awesome PA.

Re: How would you feel if these were in FFR?
to plan: I think he just means that combo doesn't have such an effect on score. Instead it's PA that matters. You can still get boos, nothing else changes.

Re: How would you feel if these were in FFR?
well, if that is the case, once again, this is not SM, FFR's grading system is what makes FFR what it is and different, dont like it, go and play SM then, noone is stopping you.

Re: How would you feel if these were in FFR?
well that is pretty much the one thing that just about all ffr players want to see changed. (besides it would still be different from stepmania because you'd still be able to get boos by hitting a space where there is no arrow.) There are still many things that make ffr and stepmania different besides that.

Re: How would you feel if these were in FFR?
I fully agree with Plan. I think FFR should not have any changes that has to do with scoring, xmods or anything that would affect FFR gameplay. Nowadays, FFR judges have been accepting more dump files into this game which is already making FFR more like Stepmania. I can fully understand as to why they are accepting harder files into the game which is simply because of how much people have improved over the past year or so. If people want those kinds of features, then they should just go play Stepmania and leave FFR out of it.
awein999: Personality, I think "Tier Points" will be the most accurate scoring system FFR is going to offer unless if some genius figures out something even better that could make the scoring system the most accurate but I highly doubt that will happen anytime soon or ever. Yes, I know there are still many things that makes FFR and SM different even if those features were added but then FFR just won't be the same anymore. By the way, how do you know that just about everyone in FFR wants to see the scoring system changed? You don't know that, in fact, I have only seen a small factor of the FFR community who would agree about that. As for this thread, I think the search box would be a neat feature but then again, the page numbers are still pretty useful. PS: I will also like to mention that this is only my opinion and thoughts about this and that i'm not trying to offend or cause a huge postwhore agruement about some silly topic obivously.

Re: How would you feel if these were in FFR?
- Percentage scoring (Combo having no weight)
/ITG rip Also would effect the entire current scoring system - Multiple difficulties per song /Like every other rhythm music game - The Song List having a search box /Are you that lazy?? Theres a list drop down, alphabetically ordered (or difficulty) - In multiplayer, being able to select the other player's "circle", which would automatically select/load the song they're looking at. /That would be annoying, say you didnt want the song your opponent picked but they clicked it for you before you can say anything. - For FFR to have visual BPM changes (As in, the notes will actually change speed mid-song, not just the timing. Stops would freeze the arrows in place) /DDR, ITG etc tec rip I also would own every and any X-mod song |

Then again, being able to mash is what make FFR different, so we just have to deal with it. |
