Planet Art
Ok, so I just made these with a new plug-in, a tablet, a couple brushes, and my imagination. What do you guys think, I don't know how I feel about everything quite yet.

Re: Planet Art
They're very cool.
My only suggestion would be to have the text in the second picture to contrast the background more. It is pretty tough to read, maybe a lighter color or just a more defined help might help

Re: Planet Art
I like; what the others said in the means of criticism besides one thing:
The glow around the planet in the second pic, the closest part to the planet is 100% alpha, but I'm it's making it look almost too gradienty. Good stuff.

Re: Planet Art
There's too much gray noise in the first one for my liking, but I might be the only one bothered by that. The clash of red and white in the middle planet in the first one seems odd without something in between transitioning it or some kind of a divider, though the way you drew the two sides is very cool and good looking, and the moons have a nice amount of detail on them.
The second one looks really nice. I would think the stars should be brighter though, but maybe for some reason everything in the sky is darkened there so I don't know, and like others of have said, it might be nice to have the blue glow more transparent, but I can see good reasoning for having the glow just how it is. It's kind of a scary looking planet for how bumpy it is, but it's still cool. Also nice job with the water, it has a realistic reflection, and pretty realistic waves.

Re: Planet Art
lol, yeah, the plain black was too bland when I was doing it, so I decided to give it some texture or whatever.
and, thanks for criticism everyone edit: not really planet art, but I played around with polar coordinates and wind effects and came up with this: Last edited by makdaddy; 04-11-2009 at 04:41 PM.. |
