i use qslp because if you try it, you'll see that it is a much more natural and relaxed position for your hands. playing something like askl really makes the hands unbalanced and tensed. qslp also helps with trills.

yeah dude, just switch to spread, it does take the least amount of effort since it is not so many fingers doing so much of the work. This way 1 finger each keys, less effort used. I really dont know what to reccomend as for key set up cus most play wit hthem set up straight across as for where I read them another way. So, you just got to mess around a bit til you feel comfortable with a set style. Sorry bout your hand though. That gotta suck.

Hmmm. I used to do a one-hand three finger style. (while resting I had my middle finger on up, and other two fingers on left and right. Recently though I couldn't get past this handicapped "hardcore" method to improve past level 8. It has no movement so you might as well go with it if your worried about agitating your injury. I still have the same one-hand skill, so after two or three warm of songs you really shouldn't worry about losing your old "hardcore" status so long as you still have the same mobility.

I'm really sorry to hear about this. Tendon injuries can take a long time to heal. We'll miss you as a one-hander.

I would think that the style would be injury dependent. It may actually hurt to play some versions of spread even after the external wound heals. It also depends on how much nerve damage there was. Also, and this is very important, make sure you talk about FFR with your doctor. He may recommend you take some time and rehabilitate your hand before even starting back at spread. Repetitive motion could re-injure it. Or it may help you heal. In any case, this may be a good time to work on those easy AAAs you still need rather than shooting for beast FCs.

Wishing you all speed in your recovery and best of luck.

I actually have to echo Sprite here -- I, too, am finding stuff like qslp to be better on the hands

I personally use: z x up arrow and right arrow.

I keep my arms and hands off to the sides of my keyboard as I often play MMO's and use 1-5 and F1-F4 keys often as skill hotkeys, as well as the mouse of course, so it feels comfortable.

I agree while Index has the perk of accuracy it has a lot more movement. Spread will help you in the long run, go that way now.

Edit: the few times i have played spread i've used as kl or qw op

We've all made it apparent that spread > everything else.

Time to try qs lp.

Try spread. It's very easy to learn.
