I don't care because I'll probably never get more than 40 credits worth on a song. :P

I say no limit as well.

PS. I love how people are begging for credits now.

why not just use the old point system, and make the credits in multiples of 25 to make it somewhat easier(if it actually is.) Well anyway, this is just a suggestion.

You get one credit for every 50000 points, but you get a maximum of 40 credits, so 2000000 points or 93284938493489389835 points would still be 40 credits.

Okay then, you get one credit for every 50000 points, but you get a maximum of 40 credits, so 2,000,000 points or 4,150,975 points would still be 40 credits. Is that better?

Thanks, Doug31. I had a feeling it was point-based, but wasn't sure. I never tracked things closely enough to figure it out myself.

Since credits are directly proportional to points, I'm inclined to agree with the "no limit" crowd. Why cap the credits you can gain? I know there are some amazing players here, but I find it hard to believe that there are enough songs with high enough maximum scores and enough people that can hit those maximum scores to really imbalance the credit system.

Just lifting the maximum doesn't help me much at my level. What would help me is a change in the amount of credits/points, but I don't know if anyone in charge would go for that. So I guess I'm stuck with my rather slow credit gain and quite a ways to go to get that last secret song. Oh well.

i dunno, i play alot, and can barely hit over 25 credits from the song, i think if you can get over 40, then good job, but there are VERY FEW people that could pull that off

lol too bad you can't put SM scores towards credits if there was no max because then we'd all have 8.188180mil credits (isn't the the max?)

I'm kinda leaning toward the suggestion of no credit limit, as, for every single "mil" of points you get, you get 20 credits. So, if you get an estimated 2 mil, you would get 40 credits, 3 mil would be 60 credits, 4 mil would be 80 credits, and so on.

Before we can think about raising the maximum (which is difficult to reach for most players) I would like to open a thread detailing what ways we could have users spend their credits besides purchasing songs and unlocking secret songs.

agreed? Who here is hitting 40 credit limits when they play?

Cheers,

Synthlight

FC on MAX Forever, Klung isn't that difficult, and they would give us 80 or 50 credits.

Are there points for credit limits?

This is a vote now? Honestly I agree that there should be no limit, however in the end it's up to Synth's whims if there is or isn't. State your opinion, don't pretend to have a say in it.

well i just finally hit the old 25 limit, while messing up badly in song for nijohins, so i think before we make ulimitied credits, why not create more songs that you can get OVER 40 credits at many dificulties, cause if only masters only songs are making over 40 credits, then raise it to potential max or i dunno :/

If we did that, the songs I played would have a ****load of 8th/16th note streams, or it'd be extremely long.

And what of the easier songs?

The best thing I can think about is to have a different system for easier songs, but that wouldn't be very fair for the veteran/semi-veteran members.
