Re: school schedule
I've had a that same kind of schedule SpammyMcSquirrel. It was ok, I just hated the lunch schedule.
I have a schedule that my new school just decided to try and they lengthen all classes and shortened the lunch time. ;_; But in return on Wednesday, our time schedule is halved except for lunch. P.S. Why do most of you have really messed up schedules? |

Re: school schedule
School here is generally the same schedule year round unless it gets switched around each quarter when you get new electives. I absolutely hate this kind of schedule since it's repetitive and depressing. It's the main reason I chose to do PSEO, which means I have a college class every tuesday and thursday and get to leave school every day at 11:10. I just wanted something different, and so far this is working out really well.
Current schedule is: Period 1 German 3 Period 2 Honors Pre-calc Period 3 Advanced Multimedia Period 4 Honors Chemistry Leave High School every day after this Tuesday and Thursday writing and research skills 1:00-2:40 at the community college. |

Re: school schedule
When I was in school, we just had 4 periods on the same day and lunch and the classes change every semester. Why can't schedules be this simple?

My bad. I read your post as sleep at school and play video games. That, and I read your response to "best school ever", leading me to believe what I saw was correct.

Re: school schedule
Yeah, in 11th grade, it's either AP or regular for most classes. But in 10th, there's honors and regulars, and World History has regulars, honors, and AP. I'm doing AP since it's the only AP class I can take.
Plus, it's in our district's recommended plan. 9th - Honors World Geo 10th - Honors World History or AP World History 11th - AP U.S. History (notice there's no honors) 12th - AP Government and Economics Well, there. And in case you're wondering, I have A's in all classes except for english, which I have a 77 in, because all the "Tale of Two Cities" reading checks are so gay, and you have to read almost every single detail, and there's only 10 questions, and almost always no partial credit. On every assignment other than the reading checks though, I have an A. I don't know why the reading checks are worth so much, because even if you do read, you'll probably still do bad. On the last reading check, our class average was a 73, and that was the best class average that my teacher had all day, so she gave our class 2 points extra on the reading check. And you know what? I still failed!!!! 69!!!!! And that was good!!!! WTF!!!!! English pisses me off so much, why bother taking it? Last edited by footbull3196; 09-23-2008 at 09:31 PM.. |

Re: school schedule
I can't believe I remember my high school schedule. This was my senior year, 02-03.
1 - Honors Physics 2 - PE 3 - Advanced English 4 - Lunch 5 - AP Computer Science C++ (lol) 6 - AP Economics 7 - AP BC Calc 8 - Orchestra Didn't take AP Physics or English because I didn't have to for what I wanted to do in college and felt like having free time in my senior year. And my last trimester of college in Spring 07 MWF 11-12:20 - Behavioral Econ MW 2-3:20 - Reading/Writing Poetry Th 2-4:50 - Film of Ingmar Bergman I was taking it easy And it is no coincidence that it was during that Spring that I posted most of my poetry.

Re: school schedule
My schedule for this year is like Spammy's. Block scheduling started in my first year of high school for all of my county, I don't know if it's implimented in my state though. But my schedule is pretty awesome.
A days: 1. Orchestra 2. Honors English 3. Drama 1 4. Astronomy (Botany 2nd semester) B days: 1. U.S. History 2. German 4 3. Physics 4. Pre-Calculus Our block scheduling rotates with an A1 day and an A2 day thing. Same with B days. During the week it goes A1, B1, A2, B2. An A2 day it goes 1, 2, 4, 3. Last year you would switch first and second period too. But they changed it this year for one reason or another. Pretty stupid in my opinion. But this year I have really hard classes on B days so I thoroughly hate B days with a passion. But A days are amazing and I love A days! Holy crap Chaz I had no idea that you were in the orchestra! What instrument did or do you still play?

Re: school schedule
Red blocks are only for the first 8 weeks of the 16 week semester. Green block is only once every two weeks. Yay for never waking up before 10.

Here's my daily routine.
7:25 am - 8:25 am - 1. Physical Science (IMO, it's a waste of a class.) 8:30 am - 9:30 am - 2. Algebra II Honors 9:35 am - 10:40 am - 3. American History 10:45 am - 11:45 am - 4a. English III 11:50 am - 12:20 pm - 4b. Second lunch 12:25 pm - 1:25 pm - 5. Creative Photography III 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm - 6. Italian I Daily routines are horrible.
