school schedule

i have something called rotating drop. my school just implemented it this year. its when i dont have one of my morning and one of my afternoon classes on a certain day. ill try to show u. i have 8 periods but only 6 per day.
1 4 3 2
2 1 4 3
3 2 1 4
5 8 7 6
6 5 8 7
7 6 5 8

thats the gist of it. but some days when you have science before lunch you have to miss half of your lunch period for a lab.

anyway i was wondering if anyone else has/had this type of epic fail schedule.

Re: school schedule

O.o
That schedule is so confusing.
Our school recently implemented a feature called A-days and B-days, where you have 4 of your classes one day, then 4 other classes the next. Like this:

A-day
Gym
Honors Geo
Honors Bio
Honors English

B-Day
Plant Science
Electronics I
Honors World History I
French II

We also have a strange lunch schedule based on what room you're in for 3rd period.

My schedule is pretty normal except for the fact that I have lunch at 10:00 am. It's so f**king early. :(

Re: school schedule

We have odd and even days so every class is almost 2 hours long, but we only have 3 periods a day.

Odd
1 Algebra II Honors
3 English II Pre-AP
5 TV Production

Even
2 AP World History
4 Chemistry Honors
6 Spanish II

We did have 45 min. lunches also, but since there were 3 fights yesterday with someone ending up having a stroke, they might reduce lunch to 30 min. and add 5 min. to each class.

1st Trimester
1st hour - Composition 10
2nd hour - World History Civilization
3rd hour -Algebra II
4th hour - Literature 10
5th hour - Physical Education

Not sure about my other two trimesters, in all, it adds to 15 classes a year. Have fun.

Wow...I'd find it pretty cool to have those kind of schedules - it would break up the monotony of having the exact same classes at the exact same time every day of the year (we don't even get block days here :().

As for my schedule, I currently have, in order:

-Learning Strategies III/IV
-Weight Training
-Algebra II Honors
-Anatomy/Physiology Honors
-AP US History
-English III Honors

I'm also pondering whether I should swap my fourth period with AP Environmental/AP Physics - my teacher says I'd be better there than in her class, but it's already been several weeks into the year, and given the rate of work in those classes, it might be too late. *needs help deciding*

Re: school schedule

Our schedule doesn't rotate or anything. The year before I went to my school, though.. It was like this:
1234567
3245671
4256713
5267134
6271345
7213456
And back to 1234567

I wish it rotated last year and this year, but it doesn't. D< So we have the same routine everyday. Next year we're going to block scheduling, though.

Re: school schedule

I only have six courses all year, three per semester.

Plus a 75 minute lunch period (we don't have a "lunch" period for the entire school, "lunches" are spread out across three regular periods).

Since I am in grade 12 I get one period off per semester. Classes are 75 minutes each, in the same order, every day. It's not bad.

Re: school schedule

0. IB Calc SL
1. Yearbook
2. IB Physics HL
3a. Peer Tutoring
3b. Lunch
4. Spanish 3
5. IB Jr. English HL

My counselor kind of forced me to do peer tutoring =/
Each class is about 70 minutes long or so, and I have Calc (zero period) everyday except Wednesdays when first period starts 30 minutes later. And on Tuesdays and Thursdays we have advisories (basically home room).
