As for security, we were being exploited to send out spam up until the second we shut of PNphpBB. Sorry if we'd rather not have our server taken advantage of. As far as site integration, we're working on it, give us time please. It's been what, three days? You'll adjust.

Re: phpBB vs Vbulletin
I think a theme which mimmicks the old style would appease many people.
Just make it non-default. Then, make the default one kick so much ass that they'd have to be stupid to use the PHP looking skin.

Re: phpBB vs Vbulletin
I say that if the interface was made better (something that separates the stickies from the other threads, PLEASE), the current vBulletin board would be better. Well, better in every way. Personally I prefer vBulletin in general.
*Edit* Screw what I said, this actually has an easy to use User CP, I'm all for this one 110%.

As for Sertman, please don't go down the road to ignorance. You are freaking out about an image limit that is simply a setting that we can change. As for the integration, I will remind you that FFR is a free site and we welcome people to participate in the development of things like php scripts and connectors that merge databases between multiple systems etc. You (sertman) are more than welcome to take part in the process and help it become more integrated. I don't mean to sound so damn negative tonight but I get tired of people bitching me out because of things like image limits when I am dealing with things like 8000 pieces of spam flying out of my server every hour + upgrades + HDD's failing (yeah, that happened earlier in the week) + 3rd style + R2 + countless other FFR side projects + life. So forgive me tonight. Cheers, Synthlight |

Re: phpBB vs Vbulletin
The issue regarding image limiting per post should be gone.

Re: phpBB vs Vbulletin
i'm not "going down the road to ignorance" i just don't have a problem with making sure that my concerns are heard, and if sounding like an asshole will do it, then that's fine :P

Re: phpBB vs Vbulletin
I didn't mean "thats fine" like it was ok that i was being so arrogant. I meant it like "if i'm going to have to act like an asshole just to make sure my concerns are heard then that's fine with me, i will"
i do appreciate hard work, and that doesn't have anything to do with anything. Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't mean they don't appreciate hard work, and I have no idea where you got that from.

PS do something about quotes :( I like having the whole back and forth conversation to appear, but when I click the quote button on a post, it removes quotes from their quote

Re: phpBB vs Vbulletin
Can we please change that "1 2 3 Last Page" thing.
I used to be able to tell if I wanted to spend time reading a thread based on how many pages it was. Make it like it was before.

Re: phpBB vs Vbulletin
It is easier to run through and I completely agree for this new Vbulliten. I think the reason others might hate it is because they like to stick to what they know.
