The absolute closest anything in there comes to being what that article is talking about, is in a section regarding Guantanamo Bay, that basically says that people arrested during the course of hostilities can be detained there, without making a specific exception for "But not American Citizens" where they -do- make that exception in regards to some other stuff in the bill.

Which means, at worst, that during something actually defined as military hostilities, there's the -possibility- of a legal backing for the military choosing to detain you there instead of in any of the many military prisons located inside the US. Oh dear, the world is ending.

Ah, I see. Oh well, I only posted this since it was blowing up all over Face Book, so I thought I'd share it with FFR to get peoples ideas on it.

So me and my friend are having an discussion on this. He's using "This bill, passed late last night in a 93-7 vote, declares the entire USA to be a ”battleground” upon which U.S. military forces can operate with impunity, overriding Posse Comitatus (martial law) and granting the military the unchecked power to arrest, detain, interrogate and even assassinate U.S. citizens with impunity." as a reason for this being legit.

Now, is there evidence that shows that this is a load of BS? I know Devonin said that he read the bills and that nothing came about anything close to what the article and video are saying. So is there any concrete proof that debunks this video? Or can you at least link me to the bill that may debunk this article? Kind of makes me wonder why they would put an article out like that if it has nothing to do with the actual bill. ._.
