Really nice job on the distance though. Sorry you couldn't make it to your goal of 40 miles but you definitely did better in 12 hours than most people could in 24. You went almost a marathon and a half!

this is done in order to give the donor the illusion of buying something while donating itself is perceived as throwing money away with no benefits to your person. a dude walking around isn't exactly something that benefits you, but it's a mind trick and seems reasonable to me. most people with no self-analysys capacities would definitely donate this way and NOT the other way.

also it's for a "good" cause so why do you bother, even if it uses some business-inherited techniques its all good.
