Default Level Three Super Combo or Fatality?

If this has already been done just say and i'll delete it.

So yea anyway. Street fighter games, Like the originals like Street fighter 1, 2, turbo and like the others like Marvel vs. Capcom, Capcom vs Snk etc. Against all the Mortal Kombats.

The way I thought it would work is post your personal favourites and who would win in a fight between the two etc.

I Put my vote in Street Fighter

SNK VS. Capcom - As much as I love my SF people, the KOF people own them all hands down. Well except maybe Ken.

Mortal kombat kills all.
Well at least thats my opinion.
Although super combos look cool, fatalities look better xD.

In a pure technical aspect, Street Fighter was much better than MK. In the first few MK games, the characters were all basically the same, except for the sprite and the special moves. In every SF game I've ever played (as in, I don't know what SF1 was like) each character had their own specific moves. Even Ken and Ryu were a little bit different.

And later on, MK went 3d (I hate 3d fighters) but did a good job of it, I guess. I still would rather play SF games, so they win IMO.

I would play SF more than MK. MK is good for a laugh or two, but it doesn't have things such as Cancels, Counters, Counter-Counters and other stuff that makes SF so much better.

I actually found it at some random arcade and played it. It consisted only of Ryu and Ken, and was rather mundane... 2 just well... owns it in every aspect. If you really want to hunt it down and try it, by all means, go for it. If you don't care that much, take my word for it: It wasn't anything special.

2D > 3D in fighting games.

Stick with what works. I would agree with Moogy that Guilty Gear owns all. Then comes Melee. The ___ vs. Capcom/Street Fighter arcade games come in a close third.

Mortal Kombat was just not that fun. It was made to push the limits of gore and give people what the developers thought they wanted: half a dozen annoyingly-hard-to-pull-off finishers for every character.

Street Fighter. Mortal Kombat is a joke in comparison, though I did play it every single morning in my World History class during my freshman year. We didn't have Street Fighter =(
