Other esports?
Anyone playing dota 2?
I used to play FFR all the time waaaaay back in the day. Was definitely among my favorite games. I still log on occasionally to play a couple songs (I'm so bad lol). I used to alternate between runescape, FFR, and diablo 2. Those were the days ^_^ Now I've got 10,000+ games on dota, a job, a boyfriend, and no time for my favorites ;_; |

Re: Other esports?
I'm a fighter game player nowadays; got Halogen and I playing MKXL together at times and it's fun and a good learning experience just to have another human player to sit and discuss elements of the game about (if he sees this I'll expect an anger face because Erron Black and Jason).
I used to like competitive league, but not any longer. I actually have a disliking to the game at the current moment so... yeah. I've enjoyed Counter-Strike as a spectator sport but I do not play. Probably not the first to say this but I feel like it's just a little /too/ long for me though. I'm assuming it's an uncommon opinion. I feel like I could take my Melee prowess to the competitive scene but it'll be a preemptive jump into it when I also feel I can improve since I just got two new controllers as gifts and haven't broken them in so I'm still adjusting to it. Competitive is nice and all but I just hate what it does to friendships. Just playing League alone I've lost friends over attitudes and such and it just sucks to undergo.

Re: Other esports?
I have roughly 13K hours logged into DDR, Stepmania and FFR collectively, about 1200 hours logged in Final Fantasy games (The most being FFXII by far with at least a quarter of that,) got about 400 hours on Guitar Hero, and about 150 hours in total on other games.
My most recent addition is Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies. So far, I'm loving that game.

Re: Other esports?
Never been a fan of moba type games, but I used to play CS professionally a long time ago. Our team was one of the first to be sponsored by Razer which was really awesome. Not financially, but received products. Still have, and use my exactmat mousepad. I follow CS:GO religiously, but play very casually. The game is literally on TV (eleague on TBS) it's crazy how much esports is growing.

Re: Other esports?
Lol. dude our cs team was so fucking ridiculous. not when it comes to skill, just our fucking ingame comms and plays were hilarious. One of the players on the team would drop the N bomb constantly, and now hes a fucking doctor...
this is pretty hilarious (sorry for the sprites being fucked up):

Re: Other esports?
I've been playing Melee competitively for 3 or 4 years now. It's definitely a fun one to visually see the improvements made, both in your actual play and in brackets/best wins.

Re: Other esports?
I played SC2 and Hearthstone for a while each, and got pretty decent at each (dia league in SC2 and rank 3 in HS) but SC2 eventually burned me out, and I couldn't keep up with the meta in HS to stay competitive (I was F2P in Hearthstone).

Re: Other esports?
Would love to get into Melee, but I don't really have the motivation for it.
Been playing Smash 4 casually ever since release though. Like to say I'm above average, but I never go to any locals so I really don't know how good I actually am. |

Re: Other esports?
Playing locals is probably the best way to get better in any version of smash because you'll be exposed to different playing styles. I know wii u smash has the online play, but the damn lag is so annoying.

Re: Other esports?
I used to play alot of melee, I've been meaning to get back into it.. If no one has seen this before, you should check out:
https://www.smashladder.com/ https://www.smashladder.com/guides/v...stermelee-v4-3 https://www.google.ca/search?q=wii%2...cube%20adapter It's really good, barely any lag nowadays, it's come a very long way. EDIT: lol might as well spam my old video, for any of you melee players who want to learn how to ledge tech :P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyuExqjW3_o Last edited by Dinglesberry; 12-14-2016 at 07:54 PM.. |
