Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
Is this batch still open for submissions?
I sent something to the regular batch a few minutes ago but after looking at the spreadsheet (which I should've checked earlier), it might be a fitting contingency for late D4/5 rounds. *fingers crossed* If it's within the expected difficulty range, could my file please be moved to this batch instead? I played it on SM and it felt like an 85-88, but knowing how easy FFR is to bullshit certain patterns; it might even be a suitable candidate for the D3 finale (79) Last edited by Mourningfall; 01-31-2016 at 03:24 AM.. |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
I know it's not easy to pinpoint the right difficulty, no worries. We've just been doing our best to minimize too much coming in of the same difficulties because the workload is already high, so adding too many files in we end up not using just makes it bigger, haha.

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
I did take a peek at the file and I honestly am not sure where the difficulty would lie. I'm going to try to get AJ to take a look at it since he's a bit better in the high end.

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
Awesome thanks. I struggled finding a suitable difficulty for it too, the 16ths look low 70 but the 24th bursts play mid-high 80.
I havent got my hopes up but I'm happy your getting a second opinion, I was expecting an immediate rejection to be honest. Lemme know if you want any changes Last edited by Mourningfall; 02-1-2016 at 02:34 AM.. |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
Just wanted to let you guys know what progress I've made on OT stuff in general. Yesterday was spent converting all the files that have been accepted so far to put onto the engine for difficulty purposes. I have a few people who said they were willing to look at files for me and this will help solidify whether they're in good slots for the tournament or not.
We're doing our best with the judging, but it has been a little tough with a lot of the other stuff we have going on so I don't have any progress to report on that right now. If any of the current judges would like to hop on for a single set over here to push it along let me know and I would be very grateful. I have a college project that I absolutely have to get done this week, I've been putting it off and I'm in a bit of trouble honestly. |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
Well I think the file's about a 70-ish and that's the only spot on the spreadsheet where it fits. :P

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
With the new Batch Search Engine Site set up, there is an individual Batch Page for the Official Tournament Batch that can be used to help users see what files were transferred over and what normal submissions they can make.
psychoangel691 being one of the admin users can help with updating the Official Tournament Batch, as there are only 64 songs listed right now and the last update I had about Set Count was that there were 15 sets. |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
If you mean for playing, you can't. This is not a public batch, which I've already mentioned a couple times.

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
While I am in here, I want to mention and take responsibility for some rather slow progress in the judgments here. I should be able to get back to steam after this weekend without too much issue; I've got an on-site exam to take today, but once I'm done with that, things should pick up steam again. I'll guarantee two sets in for Kayla today -- the first of which only needs one more judgment, and then I'll do another set of 5 to try and put some more out there.

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
The steps to get to an individual Batch page are mentioned in the BSE User Manual. To keep things simple for your specific case:
- Head on over to http://ffrtools.com/bse/batches to see the list of batches since September/October 2014. - In the table, find "Official Tournament Batch" and click on it -- it's a link to the individual Batch page for the Official Tournament Batch. - At the bottom of the screen there will be a "Stepartist Results" section that is collapsed, similar to a spoiler you'd see on the FFR forums. Click on it and you'll see the submissions each stepartist has for the batch. As a side note, remember that I mentioned there are only 64 songs displayed for the OT Batch right now. There are 15 sets according to psychoangel691 so some more songs have to be added. For everyone else: If you haven't read the User Manual, please read it as it may answer most of your questions. |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
AJ got a couple sets done, I just need to go over his notes. I've been a little swamped because my term is ending at school and I need to finish this project and take the exam. I'll have those notes up within a day or two though.

I usually try to stick to my word.
it's easier when you don't overestimate your abilities (like that one post where I would try to do 30 files lol fuck couldn't do it). Last edited by TC_Halogen; 02-16-2016 at 09:31 AM.. |
