111, no errors. I'm extremely familiar with typing tests, games, races and I've never loved the makeup of this test. It's easy and common words yes, but random and so there is much less natural flow. Needless to say, it's not an accurate measure of your typing speed.

But it is fun. I switched to Dvorak layout about 3 and a half months ago and I've almost reached my old QWERTY speed, and typing has never felt more natural. I have difficulty typing with QWERTY now, though no trouble on my phone.

btdubs to the above post, homerow system for QWERTY isn't good, you're right. People develop their own touch typing styles for it, which is one of many reasons I first started searching for alternative layouts and ALWAYS encourage others to.

If you're really interested in alternative layouts, start by learning about Dvorak and Colemak.

Looking at the Dvorak and Colemak layouts seems mind-boggling, although I can see how they would ultimately affect typing speed with swaying the amount of work done by just one hand.

First time I've come across this typing test game. There used to be one like this that was really popular on Facebook as an App, but eventually people just got bored of it. Type Racer was amaing on Facebook too, but that App just got discontinued for some strange reason when thousands were playing it every month as active users.

Anyways, heres my screenie. I can do a little better. On Type Racer I achieved 100WPM, but Im using my laptop keyboard at the moment. For some reason Im faster on those old USB keyboards that are like $5, so I might grab one and give it another go.

avging about 110-115. I'm bad at random words. I've gotten upto ~140 on paragraphs.

I type about 80 WPM when I'm not doing a typing test. When actively attempting to type as fast as possible, it can get up to 110 WPM. I could probably go faster but the fact that I don't use the right-hand shift key for anything slows me down when I have to type capital letters.

I just started typing "proper" three months ago as a little project to make the time go by faster at work. I used to type properly with the left hand and only use the index and middle finger on the right hand (a side effect of learning to type from PC game chat as a kid haha).

I got 74 WPM -- up to 83 now -- on this test now so I am pretty happy with that, I'm hoping to get up to 100 now, with my old style I was roughly just as fast but I can tell that I am speeding up while actually using all of my fingers!

Yay for new skills!
