Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
There are quite a few songs that can be changed and altered, but only the really glaring ones should be changed.
Propose: Laser Shooter: 8 -> 9 Sexplosion: 9 -> 10 The Final Fantasy: 7 -> 8 Revolutionary Etude: 12 -> 13 Also, Caprice = 12? Any reason behind that? The song itself is barely an 11 (although the BG definitely adds some difficulty). Last edited by TC_Halogen; 07-10-2011 at 04:31 PM.. |

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
Well, Caprice, I think should stay an 11 (if we're going to continue using this difficulty system, lul NO). But Rev Etude, I personally don't think should be a 13. It's true, it's quite difficult, but I mean, it's not exactly as "over-the-top" as the other four 13's (including Speedcore 300).
EDIT: also, we're only making changes to levels 10+. Anything below that has nothing to do with me or the other two working on it. EDIT2: Oh ya, and uh, here's another 3,500 credits for you, Midnight.

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
I agree with AJ, Caprice is probably one the hardest FMOs in the game. BG doesn't bother me so much, but the patterns are ridiculous and inconsistent.
>streams, streams, ****ING MINIJACK!! Shit like that are abundant in the song. |

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
Ok reviewing Yo Man's list now.
Note that I knocked off Caprice from the altered list and added Halogen's suggestions because off the top of my head I agree with them. Might rechange it after I play them in a bit. |

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
That may very well become a possibility. I found it quite difficult for a 9. the [24] [3] [24] [3] patterns and similar ones gave me trouble FC'ing.

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
If I'm not mistaken, wasn't AJ saying Caprice is more of a 10? o.0; I don't find it too difficult as far as I recall, just crappy keyboard + annoying background means I suck at it. :B
EDIT: Played Caprice, can't tap too loud 'cause everyone but me is asleep, but I don't think it's that bad... I didn't notice many minijacks really, just those hidden jacks. I wouldn't say 12, 'cause it strikes me as a toned down OMW which is far harder and is a 12. Worst part for me is the one handed trills but they're easily bs'd with fairly decent PA if you want to, so... *shrug* I'd probably say 10, I'd say it's easier than 300 overall. EDITEDIT: Played again, 8 misses, crappy PA, but whatever, this keyboard is terrible for anything speed-related. I really don't think Caprice is anywhere near a 12, the only annoying thing is the background. Last edited by GHEZ119; 07-10-2011 at 06:04 PM.. |

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
It's not a 10 -_-
It's not a 12 either. Just solid 11.

Well, it's more a 10 than a 12.

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
Sooooo.... How do we go about the Dragons Fury difficulty ratings? O_o (ex. difficulty = 0 OR 1-5, 5-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, and 46-50?) If there is a difficulty list translation for this, could someone give me a link for it?

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
Well, it's definitely not a 12, I suppose it suits being an 11 but I don't find it too difficult personally. I think there's like, 4 minijacks? 1 of which is in a stream?
Either way, one of my favourite files now, so fun to play. :3 EDIT: 186-4-0-13 on Caprice, like I said earlier, crappy PA, but whatever. I'm a relatively unknown crappy player around here and even I managed that. Last edited by GHEZ119; 07-10-2011 at 06:11 PM.. |

It's not a linear scale so there really isn't a "translation" for it and really it would be a pain in the ass for AJ and I to explain. If you play around on it you'll get the basic idea of the scale but there are a few songs that are mis-rated right now. And yes he was saying caprice is more like a 10. The bg is what makes it an 11 in his opinion. |

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
The background is annoying, but it's not that bad, IMO. At least it's blue on red. Could've been some retarded animated background or something. *cough*
'Sup to Middie, I guess. Might have to be picking it in one of my matches. ;o |

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
I never meant to say it was a borderline file, even though I'm aware of making it sound that way. I just don't think it's as big of an 11 as people make it out to be. It's just a lot of off-rhythm < 200 BPM stream.

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
Yeah I had it listed as it was being changed to a 12 and Aj pointed out that it fits as an 11 more.
As for gym leader I'll think about it. I think it's pretty borderline because of the public. As for the DF scale issue: Kayla 's right, if you play a few of the songs from each difficulty section you'll get a knack for it. I always include the DF engine because shit why not. Like if I say 9 and you Xepher, that's kind of obviously not going to happen. As the host I have the power to force you to repick so if you think your song is borderline, send it anyways. I'll have you repick if I feel it's unfair. Sound good? |
