FFR Site and Game loading slowly or not at all.
I seem to be having a lot of trouble with the site for some reason. I use a laptop, Windows 7 and Firefox 3.6, as well as the newest flash player. Security wise I use Advanced Systemcare, Avast! Antivirus and NoScript. (FFR the site is on my allowed website list, however).
FFR The Game will either load halfway, or load fully and stop when it says 1632k/1632k or whatever the number is. The rare couple of times I've managed to get past that to select songs, the default loading screen music is choppy and the song doesn't load past say, 6%. As for the site, I understand it's peak time right now so that may be part of the issue. It takes roughly a 1-2 minutes to load a page, and I'm on 6-7MB broadband. I've tried the following things: -Uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash Player. (10.3) -Changed theme to Windows Classic. -Reset my wireless router. -Restarted my laptop. -Closed all programs. -Even tried running FFR The Game without any programs OR tabs running. -Cleared my cache twice. I'm at a loss, I really cannot see what more I can do. I've played FFR for a long time (had a few accounts in the past) with little to no problems, and this is my very first topic. |

Re: FFR Site and Game loading slowly or not at all.
Sometimes, the site does load slow (as you've said) during peak times. Back when the site first came back up, the site loaded rather slowly. Since then, we've made several modifications that should have contributed to the site loading faster for users.
While I cannot speak for you since I'm probably not a customer of the same ISP you have, there may just be a slow route between you and FFR's servers. If you're playing, it's worth just using the standalone (There's a thread around here somewhere with instructions on where to obtain said standalone player.) Alternatively, just use this link to play FFR directly. If and when you obtain the standalone, that's also the URL you load from. Hopefully, this helps!
