Velocity* (wtf typo in title).
I played a bit today on the velocity engine like usualy i do now. Played some songs, everything was normal. I went change my speedmod for the first of second time, then back playing an other song. What happend is, all i saw is "boo" "boo" "boo". At first, i though it was a joke in the song (like the acuracy is hidden). So i tried with an other song and an other... but still getting those boos. Also, i noticed that every arrows gives a boo + the "normal" accuracy. You only see "boo" if you hit the arrows with a perfect or good accuracy. So i made a trial run on Exite Bike : Then i realised that some of you could think that i made up this. Because getting 32 perfects and 32 boo on this song, is truly possible without lag. So i made a run on a 9' that i can actualy play well (i suck at this game but the chart is index friendly, so it's ok for me). Also, lol at my average. I think that my computer couldn't keep up boo + "normal" accuracy at the same time, so during the long stream, it was fucking up. (if someone has any doubt, just check my Last 10 FFR Games Played and see that the score in the same that the one on picture). Last edited by HammyMcSquirrel; 01-11-2011 at 01:12 PM.. |

Re: Volocity bug : Every key gives a boo + "normal" accuracy
Oh i didn't knew it was so common. I restarted the game, saw it wasn't fixed. So i restarted the entire flash exe and it works.
Still prety funny/weird moment. Thanks for the answer. |

Re: Strange
That's strange, the replay frames correspond with your problem. Is it at all possible you're running an autohotkey script in the background that might be causing this?

Re: Strange
When using a standalone, this actually can be recreated by playing a game midsong and then using the "Rewind" function. This triggers a glitch where every press is double triggered. You can also stack it as high as 3 notes per press.

Re: Velocity bug : Every key gives a boo + "normal" accuracy
When you start a song, a key event is registered. This event is only removed at the end of a song.
When you rewind or restart the engine without closing it completely and start a song, another key event is registered. This causes to key events and what causes the boo/accuracy. This is normal on any engine and there's no way to detect the key register and remove doubles. TL;DR version: Just restart the standalone or refresh the page, problem fixed. |

Re: Velocity bug : Every key gives a boo + "normal" accuracy
Hey guys, I am having a similar situation with the fellow above. Whereas when the arrows come up and I press the corresponding key I get boo's. Therefore, I went to the forum and tried all the suggestions that seemed to work for example close/reopen window, refresh page, adjusting speed, checking to see if anything was on hidden. I double checked to make sure all the keys on my keyboard were fully functional and then I changed the up,down, left, right in the game to other combination of keys with no avail. Any suggestions would help, I've tried already and I am anxious to play the game that has been down for soo long.

Clear cache maybe if you are playing in your browser.
I think some people here might give you better advise but that's the only thing i think you might forgot to try. |

Turn of the computer turn it back on defrag it virus scan it clear the cache and it should work. |

Re: Velocity bug : Every key gives a boo + "normal" accuracy
Didn't something like this happen if you set it to an odd speedmod? that doesn't end in 0 or 5?
your keyboard might be repeating keys really fast too. I know somewhere there was a setting for how long a key had to be held down before it started repeating. That might of been changed for some reason. If neither of those help, maybe try a different browser. And as a final solution try uninstalling and reinstalling flash? |
