Smile Gone Forever (Kid Merkury Remix) on beatport!

Hey all - if you like trance, I've just released a remix of Sam Stroke and Issac Fisherman's "Gone Forever" on Omerta Records. The track, along with other remixes is now on beatport, so definitely go and check it out!

Just go to www.beatport.com, and do an artist search for "Kid Merkury" and among my humble releases, you'll see it

Certainly isn't my taste by any stretch of the word, but you did a bangup job of creating a soundscape that's interesting to space out to. I suppose that is the goal of trance.

My primary complaint with the track is in the compositional method as a whole. Don't take this personally, Murk, but it really seems like all this track is a mere chord progression without a prominant melody line driving the track. The chord progression is nice, yes, but without a dominant upper line driving the track, it falls flat (to me, at least).

For example, in Rolling Thunder, you did a great job making sure that it was interesting and had several different elements to dig your teeth into. Gone forever just seems rather basic, even if the mastering is great.

And I agree man

Go check out the original track of gone forever. It was not my favorite at all. The remix pack I got for rolling thunder was only vocals, so I literally was pretty much making my own music. Whereas gone forever I had more guidelines I had to follow
