why does my skill level go way down by just switchin screen sizes?

FFR runs on a 30 frame per second rate so you're bound to hit more goods because of that. Since you're more used to playing on a higher frequency based rate the arrows will look like as if they were lagging. But this is very common in fact many people have the same problem. Which is one of the main reasons why you should stick to playing sm until you get good enough then wait a day and play FFR again. It's mostly pyschological when you think about it.

Sorry but... wow your reality score is bad o_0. Maybe the problem is that you can't read 260bpm stream on FFR; since the notes are stuck to the nearest 30th of a second it probably doesn't even look like proper stream. Try increasing your speed mod a bit (like x0.25 extra), and try reading the file as a big burst rather than a stream. That probably won't help if you're trying to SDG but it should definitely let you improve your score a lot.

I recently found out it's mostly because FFR doesn't have the C-mod you're used to.
Reality is just a file of clogged up rolls, occasional 23 in between rolls and jumpstream, much like trying to read Disregard on C600-C650

if you don't see how its harder to read ffr, try playing stepmania in a small window with a huge noteskin and very slow Cmod... you'll see how gay it is to try and read files that used to seem easy.
