Oh I thought I commented. My bad lol

Yeah the banner is pretty neat. I'm gonna keep both though. just because I'm a fan of that whole "having alternate banners" thing. Do you wanna help make some gfx for some of the songs as well? The less Gundam-Dude has to do by himself, the closer to the actually release date this pack will be able to be released.

Files that need gfx still will be updated in the second post of this thread.

Oh, I forget if I mentioned this or not. Any files that have not been judged by the release date are going to go into the pack if it has 50% accepts or more.

I kinda figured he would lmao. Couldn't hurt to try though, because we had SO many volunteers.

The judging staff is p. much me, GD, and Wyde. I may just keep it that way for the next pack if those 2 are interested in judging again. It's going to be a much better pack. Not to say this pack isn't pretty good, even if it is a bit small.

13.9.09

-Cosmic Orchestra- ACCEPTED
The only thing I didn't like about this chart was the jack string in bar 36. imo it's a ridiculous thing too try and hit even if it does fit with the song somewhat. Otherwise your use of jacks throughout the chart was good. Additional props with the use of rolls and choice of song. I'd personally redo bar 36, but I suppose it's up to you.

-Don't Be Quiet?!- ACCEPTED
Implementation of the stutter gimmick was well placed and executed, and the chart overall gets plenty of approval from me. If it were up to me though, I'd rate it a 13 rather than a 12; the gratuituous use of 24ths at this BPM along with the gimmicks justify that rating in my mind, as well as the fact that many of those 24th trills lead straight into candles. It's not exactly merciful in that respect. =S

-I Fly With You- ACCEPTED
Sync was a bit early. Hitting F11 once sufficed in fixing that. I suppose the rating is justified considering the fact that the hands are arguably of a fairly difficult variety and I'ms also accounting for the mine spam at the end. I'd call it a low 9 if it weren't for those. On that note, for an alleged joke file, I actually found this quite enjoyable. D=

-Owl Castle (V2)- ACCEPTED
In terms of possible fixes, refer to buizel's post. Aside from something of a lack of interesting patterns, this is most certainly an ok chart, and definitely an improvement over the previous version.

-The Bridge People No Longer Cross (V2)- REVISE
I'm still not convinced with this I'm afraid. Firstly, sync is late. Had to hit F12 once. I see you got rid of most of the double steps, even if a couple still linger: I spotted them in bars 24 56, possibly 70 and 73 from what I can remember. My main annoyance with this is that that patterns are very uninteresting for the most part, largely being very one direction and repetitive and having little to no sense of progression. Yes the steps do follow the music and I appreciate that, but there's a lot of untapped potential here if you ask me.

Lastly, there's no way this is a 10.

----------

In the meantime, I'll see if I have any files lying around that I could send. Also, buizel, you'll have to go over what exactly you didn't like about the patterns in Meta Knight's Revenge. If I'm to fix it I don't want to blindly muck around with it and somehow make it less likable. =(

wyde, if ya would add me to msn or aim things would be easier lmao. i have to pull the file back up.

also i GUESS i will redo the jack section in cosmic orchestra. Just for you. And Fly With You was supposed to be fun, even though some of the stuff doesn't make sense haha

edit: It was mostly the crossover placement. They felt kinda randomly dispersed idn. I will probably end up accepting this anyways.

Oh, and FoxX? I fixed up Owl castle for ya, so you are fine.

reviews for just502:
Neko Meko Reimu
I'm sorry, I'm just really not a fan of the massive amount of half turns and the flagrant mine abuse.
Rejected

Felys
Got kinda boring at points, but overall not too bad. The quad holds were iffyas well. I don't really know about this one. Gonna have to delebate more.
Needs Fixes

Alegro Cantabile
OKAY WHAT THE HELL
The beginning is rather inconsistant. Everything else is good until m.80. Those hands were just not needed at all. They need to go. The end was also okay except for the double step around m.102. WORK ON THIS ONE
Needs Fixes

Amifuri Koneko
Ugh
This just got really old really fast. There just isn't much to draw the player to this file.
Rejected

Bloody Tears
That long jack is just dumb at that speed, as are those 16th bursts and half turns
Rejected

Blue Rose
File just gets really repetitive. Song really just doesn't go well with pad. I also don't like the use of mines here.
Rejected

Blue Sky
Use of rolls got to me on this one. Also, the patterns can get a bit repetitive. Fix this one up and I will accept it.
Needs Fixes

Explosive
I don't care if its only 116 bpm, 1 footed 16ths are just no. Any jumpstream you have probably should have the jumps linked, otherwise it gets kind of annoying. There are also some unneeded double steps in here. If you fix up this file a good amount, I think it could be cool.
Rejected

Over The Rave
I disagree with your use of jumps and holds in many parts of this song. There are also unneeded double steps. The jacks were cool, but the double stepping in the area was not. Also random mines wtf.
Rejected

SHINE!!
For the first part of the song I was thinking it would be Wang Chung vs The Real Wang v2. Thank god it stopped. Again, double steps that dont need to be there, as well as some jumps.
Rejected

Silly Symphony
(Reviewed Hard Only)
I was thrilled till the minefield at m23. Just, no. A couple jumps and mines after that I didn't agree with, but again, was liking the file for the most part. Take out both mine fields with notes (the noteless one was okay). Fix these and definite accept.
(actually the expert chart was kinda cool, tho the jump jack part was gay as **** and some other jump usage was kinda gay too)
Needs Fixes

Yorukymoryuu Yam...ah its ****ing asian
A bit of jump inconsistancies (seeing a pattern here haha), and the 24th are being stepped to almost inaudible sounds (tho i guess the 24ths are okay). There was also a bit of inconsistancies with the minifreezes that got a bit annoying. Minefield was also a bit gay. After the minefield, prolly would have been better if you stepped the melody and not the background stuff. Also p. sure I spotted a double step or 2 in here somewhere. That and this file seems to drag on forever.
Needs Fixes

YOU are you
Double steps in the beginning didn't set a great tone. This file felt like a combo of my anisakis, Wyde's Destination, Kommi's Coloris, and my Death Moon pad file (which you are all never seeing haha). Just doesn't work well together =/
Rejected

Regarding the Meta Knight chart, I recently went over it and took out every single cross. Looking at it now, the chart definitely works out without them. I'll resend soon.

Still deciding on whether or not to double the bpm on Destination though. =/

Alegro Cantabile
I'll take out the hands for this version, after playing ITG for 5 years you get bored of normal charts and start doing new stuff
Needs Fixes

Amifuri Koneko
This was a standard file that I used in a sightreading tournament in august.
Rejected

Blue Sky
I don't see the issues with the rolls? I think they added alot to the file, and in most parts they're used to accent the strong vocal note in the song.
Needs Fixes

Explosive
Hm, I'm not sure if you understood the concept of how this file works. The one footed part is kind of hard yeah, but the sections after that I think you misunderstood. They're very hard crossover sections, and there are footswitches not double steps. The steps with the mines after them are supposed to be done with the OTHER foot. So at one point you have your right foot on the up arrow, then the mine shows you that you need to switch to your left foot to continue the stream normally
Rejected

Over The Rave
It's gimmicky, so w/e

Same concept here though, you're supposed to use 2 different feet on the jacks.
Rejected

SHINE!!
The doublesteps in this song were intentional (as denoted by the hold and a mine underneath the arrow)
Rejected

Silly Symphony
(Reviewed Hard Only)
I don't see the issue with the mine field?
Needs Fixes

YOU are you
Those were crossovers at the start, they work.

As someone who pretty much only plays 14s-16s on pad, I guess I have a different outlook on simfiles haha >.<

maybe, idn. will see what everyone else says about these.

Wyde if you double the BPM of Destination it's getting autorejected. Just a heads up =)

(man1x(I guess)) - Cross Time
I question the jump usage here. I mean technically, most of them sound correct, but they just don't flow well and aren't all that fun. Slowdowns and stops were okay i guess, but you probably should put mines as indicators of them on each area. Work on this one it seems p. cool
Needs fixes
