Re: XOON 4 submissions open
Not unless you were so popular that your username was a child's first word halfway around the globe.
You need to make your files good before you worry about popularity. In a massive majority of cases (except Midare packs), technicality and replay value come first. Learn to step, and once people notice you step decently, you may become somewhat more popular with time. /rant from a stepping unknown with only two packed files ever |

Re: XOON 4 submissions open
FINE FINE!!!!
Ill conform to you're ways. Found this awsome chiptune song on youtube thats 4:05 min. Not telling you or linking the song because Im afraid someone will also think its awsome and try to step it and get there's accepted while I get mine rejected for whatever picky reason. Song is epic by the way though. Its a rush to listen to it. Of course, it doesn't matter. IM NOT TELLING YOU GUYS THE SONG YET!!! BTW, this is the first time that Im stepping an actually SM/FFR related style song too. Last edited by operationstrawbarry; 08-27-2009 at 11:30 PM.. |

Re: XOON 4 submissions open
Legend of stargroup touhou remix
-quit out at the part with all those freezes and jacks -file isn't interesting or replayable enough to warrant marathon length. creativity: 2/5 fun: 1.5/10 technicalness: 2/5 replayability: 3/10 8.5/30 reject (sorry ) Votum Stellarum -hey, it's WTFBrandon -steps are straightforward enough but sort of bland -I dunno maybe this will grow on me. creativity: 2.5/5 fun: 5.5/10 technicalness: 3/5 replayability: 5/10 16/30 maybe Yell "Dead Cell" -minifreeze abuse detected, you could get therapy for that you know -I like that you tried to use mines but this isn't the way to go (more annoying than innovative tbh) -clearly you have an idea of where you want to go though so keep stepping. creativity: 2/5 fun: 3.5/10 technicalness: 3/5 replayability: 5/10 13.5/30 reject Megamon file -file length seems alright -12/16ths obnoxious as hell to hit -I dunno rest seems fine but you missed a few notes. creativity: 2.5/5 fun: 5/10 technicalness: 4/5 replayability: 6/10 17.5/30 maybe The Prototype -wow this new Dimrain guy is really good at making music. original song choice -technicality compromised for old-school, fun steps. -didn't enjoy usage of jumptrills though, the song doesn't emphasize that part enough to warrant such an intense pattern -seems decent creativity: 2.5/5 fun: 7/10 technicalness: 3/5 replayability: 7/10 19.5/30 maybe Porn song by Spitfire AGAIN WHY WOULD YOU STEP THIS DAMN SONG WOW |

Re: XOON 4 submissions open
Oh, Kommi, <3 right back at ya.
I admit, moches, that I studied some of the more old-school patterns and files to create this new file of mine. I already made a fairly technical file before, and I wanted to do something different. And if you have a beef with the jumptrills, I'm more than happy to convert them to just single-note trills if it helps. Thanks for saying it's a fun file, though. I know it's not the most correct file, but it brought back good memories of my old favorites. |

Re: XOON 4 submissions open
I honestly don't care about how technical it is, technicality comes second for me. You managed to do a competent job at expressing a cool song and for that I'm satisfied.
