Game freezes while playing

Hey there,

I installed Ubuntu Linux last night and until just now had not attempted to play a few games of FFR here. However, I've run into a bit of a problem. During most of the songs, FFR will randomly pause, music still playing, and then resume, making me miss a bunch of arrows. I know this is a common problem for people running Windows Vista (or, at least, it used to be!), but does this problem occur on Linux as well?

I am currently running under Ubuntu and I have no problem with FFR.

Is the problem happening in all Flash applications or only in FFR? What Flash Player package did you install? What's your Ubuntu version?

Installed the latest one from Adobe's website. I'm running Mozilla Firefox 3.0.11 on Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope)

Thought I might add: Even when playing from the direct swf URL (ffrndanotherway.swf), I continue to experience lag. I have nothing else running in the background, I even have stuff like Pidgin turned off so I don't get interference while playing.

I'm really starting to think that FFR lag just has to do with your pc. My old comp used to freeze//lag like crazy. But since I got my new pc it's been running perfectly. So maybe it's just that. I dunno o.O

Well, the only conflict I have with that statement is that my PC also runs Windows XP and Windows 7 Beta and XP runs it fine when playing using the SWF URL.

I only have the problem on my comp if I use FF but I noticed it was fixed when I play on IE8

Now, the question is: Do addons in Firefox also play a factor in FFR lagging during gameplay on it?
