Business Suggestions
Alright so there is spot for lease next to where I work and I just happened to think of a great business to start if I had the knowledge of how to actually do this. I am thinking of starting an arcade here with the intentions of lots of kickass arcade games bringing in the crowds.
I'm kind of stuck right now with trying to figure out a good place to buy my machines from and just starting this business in general. So if anyone has any feedback or advice on this I would appreciate the help. Thanks 8)

Re: Business Suggestions
You will need a TON of capital to start something like an arcade. Assuming the ideal situation of finding a company that will lease you machines, it might become -somewhat- more manageable, but you do realise that for example, one DDR machine costs about 15 thousand dollars, most pinball tables cost between 3-8 thousand dollars, etc etc.
A "kickass arcade" to bring in crowds would probably cost you the better part of 100,000 dollars just in machines and fixtures. |

Re: Business Suggestions
Alright I do understand the expensive situation that's why I am considering getting a loan and maybe deal with some investors but I really don't want to go that route considering they get a cut. Next week I will shop around for some loans and see what I can come up with. I'm told banks are very generous when it comes to first time business.

Re: Business Suggestions
At this particular time in the US economy, small business loans are probably pretty thin on the ground.
If you'd happened to have just finished a degree in small business management, or some sort of business/accounting program, you'll be -much- more likely to get a small business loan. |
