Avatars, banners and maybe backgrounds

Hello! I am willing to do a couple of things for people, however I am new to doing avatars, banners and backgrounds so don't expect anything extremely professional. I might show you work in progress and see what you think and then you can tell me what you would like. This is also a learning experience for me so you don't really have to give me anything, maybe some constructive advice but thats all.

I'll put a list of requests I have seen and ones I am in the middle of doing.

Well, like I said I am new to making stuff like this but I know how to do it.
I just haven't had any real inspiration or anything, so this is why I made this thread so I can get some context. I have a idea for a background though so that might be appearing soon.

The background and banner on my profile are really simple and took me less than a minute to make each, I'll be working on making better ones to update onto my profile.

Nah, I use Macromedia Fireworks 2004, and paintshop pro. I'm working on some pixel by pixel pictuers but thats just to waste time really. Anyway if you have something simple for me to practice on that would be great, as I haven't really had the opportunity to do anything good yet.

just make a signature for yourself and use that as an example. saying you're new at something is no reason to not have examples especially when you are going to be making gfx for other people
