I like Kommi's files. I love Jeanie and Caroline, haha. I don't care that you told me you did it in 30 minutes, I still love it.

Re: Kommisar's Files: Like or Dislike?
I like the fact that you are one of the few that stayed old-schoolish (files that focuses on fun factor) instead of what most stepartists are doing (trying to find the most difficult song on the planet and make them technical as hell).
I dont care what people say, Jeh Jeh Rocket by Tsuka from the VGMP3 is still considered the best file Ive ever played because its really fun compared to most (and the song is just pure epicness) of the other files that are considered "masterpieces." I hope this isn't an insult because its not whats intended, but I still consider a lot of you're files like Jeh Jeh Rocket. Simple, fun, songs are dope and you avoid a lot of bull****. Its only recently that you're files have gotten more technical (Master maid is bull****, but accurate to me though.), but it hasn't gotten to the point where I cant do em compared to many other stepartists files. But its because of this that I have mixed feelings about you're files. Does this mean that FFR has to find another judge? Just my opinion. Because of this, I wont poll my decision Last edited by operationstrawbarry; 02-19-2009 at 03:16 AM.. |

Anyways, if any of this is true, I'd encourage kommi to continue stepping if he doesn't mind doing so. |

I did read that. My message pertains to that; I think that, with all due respect, it's rather silly to allow somebody else to speak on one's behalf when one can just come out and speak directly and openly about it.

Re: Kommisar's Files: Like or Dislike?
I think VGMP3 jeh jeh rocket is one of those files that would have to be just right for my skill level to be fun to play; as it was it was trivial on spread, and with no complexity in the step patterns it was just a bore with nothing to catch the eye. (My failed submisson of jeh jeh rocket to VGMP2, for instance, tried to get all the rhythms in at once as they built up, including the 'wobbly' 32nds that play.) If I played it on index I assume it would be fun again?

Re: Kommisar's Files: Like or Dislike?
i was just bein curious being an attention whore as usual =D
actually i was wondering who actually plays my files and if people actually enjoyed playing my stuff since i already make songs for my own enjoyment. By retiring i meant not making any public sm releases and only make stuff for ffr or if people had requests (kinda like what cetaka does nowadays i imagine). I'm not quitting stepmanier or quitting simfiles just might go hiding in a cave makin my own files unless people like what i make. basically what blu has been doing for the past few months. sending me a buncha songs to step for ffr. as far as judging for ffr is concerned i'm far from letting go of that since i enjoy giving constructive criticism for files and helping other improve. I really like his files, and especially the fact that any idiot can follow them and still have fun. Definitely up there on my list of favorite artists.
