I will not be going, I agree though, I strongly supported McCain. Still, republicans have not brought us the best economy, it may be time for a change.

Re: Obama's Inauguration
I laughed pretty hard at the shoe at Bush. xD
In any case, an assassination is probably not going to happen. You might as well give a president a chance to do something before trying to kill him, right? [Edit] not going btw

Re: Obama's Inauguration
My girlfriend won us tickets so we will be there. We are staying at a hotel in Virginia and taking the train over very early the 20th. We plan on bar hopping and celebrating with the masses all night long.

Re: Obama's Inauguration
It is going to be so INSANE near where I live. I hear some people even got hotels in Delaware just to go. I am most definitely not going anywhere near the highway that day.

Re: Obama's Inauguration
Why would anybody want a hotel in my state just to go to the inauguration. It's two hours away.

Re: Obama's Inauguration
...ugh.
Maybe I should have said it like this: If there was someone who was able to get close enough to get a snapshot of him, what's to stop someone from getting that clear of a view during his inauguration? Sure, some people may get want to get that close to Obama for good intentions, but not everyone's intentions are good. I mean, sure, they are going to have him protected with security, secret service, etc., but I'm just pointing out that if it was possible to get that close to him once, it can be done again. Jeez. Not one, but two mods call me an idiot. That's not right. =/ |

Re: Obama's Inauguration
They're called security clearances.
The media is screened in advance and much more in-depth than the other guests to the event. You do know that all events have a media section, right? I mean, do you think the media has to fight for seats like everyone else? Hell no. |

Re: Obama's Inauguration
In all honesty, it really bothers me how assassination seems to be the only damn topic anyone talks about anymore when it comes to Obama being out in public.

Re: Obama's Inauguration
Yes it may bother you but to be fair - it is a valid topic to talk about.
In answer to your OP i believe only PlaceboFX is going with his girlfriend. Also someone else in the previous thread PlaceboFX made someone said they MAY be going from what i can remember.
