You can be able to step files without playing the game.

What you do is learn rhythm and music, etc.

Then you can learn how to step, because it doesn't make sense that "can step well, you can play well", or even "if you can step well, you can play decent". I mean, if you can listen to a song and find beats and know how to place them, etc. ..., then isn't it enough (other than knowing how to make the simfile itself).
