FFR vs. DDR
I don't know if its anyone else, or just me, but when it comes to ddr, ireally suck.
I've only played a handfull of times, but i know im pretty bad. I think i'll keep to using my skillz on FFR. discuss. |

Re: FFR vs. DDR
Well actually if I was going to compare FFR to anything, it would probably be beatmania. Even though FFR uses the same set up as DDR, they aren't really the same at all, whereas beatmania still has you using your fingers, so your skills on that can sort of carry over. Although, I can sort of do DDR and FFR both pretty well, so maybe I'm not a good judge.

Re: FFR vs. DDR
Why compare FFR to anything?
FFR is most similar to SM. FFR is not similar to Beatmania/Lunatic Rave, in that your hand can't cover all 7/14 keys in a one-finger-per-key format. FFR is not similar to DDR in that DDR uses feet? That's like comparing violin to soccer.

Re: FFR vs. DDR
Just to reiterate.
FFR skillz are completely different from DDR skillz on a physical level. Footeye coordination and handeye coordination are two completely separate entities that involve different talent. Just because one can do FFR doesn't mean he can do DDR fine. Just because one can't do FFR doesn't mean he can't do DDR. And vice versa. These 2 games aren't really comparable once you point out the obvious.

I think I died a little inside. Seriously, if you've played DDR than how the hell do you not know about BM? Also, don't compare FFR to SM. SM has a wide variety of things you can change about it. You can't just change FFR at will.

Living in England is also a good way to suck at DDR, because it's so hard to find a good machine to practice on (unless you don't live 500 miles from London like I do) But falling over is one of the most fun things you can do while playing DDR! |

Also I mostly take back my previous statement about how you could compare beatmania to FFR, you can't, but it's definitely closer then the relationship between FFR and DDR. Quote:

Re: FFR vs. DDR
I saw a guy play CIA Rave on pad once and he went psycho on it; nobody could survive longer than 30 seconds doing vROFL on DDR.

Saying FFR and SM aren't alike is like saying looks nothing like .
