Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?
they made better movies than books though
honestly i appreciate that the guy founded the fantasy world as we know it but the books are just dull something's wrong with you when your battles threaten to put the reader in a coma OH WAIT I'M OFF TOPIC what kind of name is "bella swan" anyway, the only thing worse and more blindingly obvious would be to name your character "pretty girl"

Also, the fact that that dude enjoys the books doesn't surprise me, as he talks like a complete twit.

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?
I think it's a creative name. Then again, when I was 6, I wrote a story about Ang Gree, an small Asian man with an explosive temper that could shoot lava from his fingers when he was agitated or riled.
PS: It's not a creative name.

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?
Vicious indictment, Tokzic!
I don't agree that Stephenie Meyer is a hack; she isn't the greatest writer in technical terms, and there are definately a lot of more-talented writers out there, but she created a really enjoyable and interesting plot line and characters. That's why the book has as many fans as it does. I do agree that Bella's name is not creative, but it doesn't detract from how much I love the series. P.S. I would love to read your story about Ang Gree, Mal. =]

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?
Unrelated except it's in Sarah's sig: LOVELY BONES MOVIE? WHY, GOD, WHY? Why are the greatest books always turned into movies that will turn out terrible?
Related: I learned about this series through Facebook. It seems like something I would have been into in Middle/High School. Now it sounds kind of... juvenile? But I can't judge. It's apparently huge and I like when people read. |

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?
[[My favorite part is when "everyone was in a big pool of being melted". It's a beautiful story. ;D]]
To the fans of Twilight: I was wondering, which book in the series is your favorite? Mine is the first. Though it's a very close call. |

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?
So I gave in to my curiosity and asked The Pirate Bay to give me the Twilight books, which it did. I just read a random 10 pages...the writing style is utterly dry, and the only thing the book has going for it is the mildly interesting plot. But even then, there's not much that interests me, at least. It's just a back-and-forth of awkwardness.

lol Mal, that was an amazing story.
I think my favorite would either be New Moon or Eclipse.

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?
A Twilighter is a girl in their teens who finds unrealistic, poorly written vampire books intensely arousing, and loves to pretend that they are the unrealistic, poorly written protagonist who magically attracts every single male character in the book.
EDIT: oops ninjaed
