Avatars are full size at the top of the page
Why are the avatars at their full size when they are displayed at the top of the page? It's kinda annoying and it ruins the look of the layout.

Then your school needs to update.
Otherwise you'll just have to deal. Also, I asked this very question somewhere else and this is the answer that I got.

IE7 is the new standard. I'll take a look and see if I can make it for for IE6, but it won't be at a very high priority.
