Except that 2.999... + 2.999... = 6, not 5. (And yes, it does equal 6 exactly)

I always thought it had to do with 2.49999... = 2.5 (which it does) but still being considered "2" at the same time, or something like that.

If you're a computer, it'll cut off all the decimal digits. So it'll be five anyways.

Well, I'm just not a numbers person, so yes. Brain fart on my part to go 2.999... instead of 2.4999... but anyways, the way I had it explained to me is that the phrase "For extremely large values of 2" is ridiculous because "2" only has one value: 2
