Shenmue Online.
Part one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iXPzWX-N0U
Part two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyaUv...elated&search= Words can not explain how much I am looking forward to this. This is now my most anticipated game. To think this has been going on this long. I am a huge Shenmue fan. HUGE fan, I mean I 100% both games, that should show how into the game I was. I know that sound stupid but anyone whose played the game will understand what kind of feat that is. I love the game dearly. This will be the only MMO game I'll buy. It looks, how to say, "In the works" still. The battle system and that looks a bit sketchy and buggy. However the map looks stunning. There are a few places that I remember. The new magic thing they incorporate does not bother me one bit, if you played the games through you'll understand that the game was going down that chinese mythology road anyway. Shenmue was such a magical game. So terribly underrated. Plus the way the 2nd game ended was just "Wait what....no.........NO........FFS NOOOO". I've been hanging on that cliff for a long time, I don't think I'll ever let go either. It has to be completed or my soul will wander in limbo untill it is.

Re: Shenmue Online.
Yea. Looks as though there going to make the story somehow involve all the people of the country as a combined effort to stop the baddies sort of deal by the looks of things.
PS. Updated first post.

Re: Shenmue Online.
The "Over 150 Quest" slide turned the game down for me. >>;
But I'll take your word that it's good. ~Tsugomaru

Re: Shenmue Online.
A lot of people never got on with the game for a couple of reasons. Which annoyed me because I think if they gave it the chance it would have been a very popular game. Heres a few reasons why it never got that big.
Firstly, the game was quite slow and most people never bothered to get in to the swing of it. Secondly, it was on the Dreamcast, so not many people even heard of it until.... Thirdly, Shenmue 2 was released on the Xbox. Most people where thrown off by the fact it was a sequel to a quite story heavy series. That's not all though. The sequel was in Japanese with subs. Instant turn off. Kids don't want to read! I prefered it like that to be honest. That being said the game was brilliant. In a nutshell. Your a guy searching for your fathers killer. You have to track him down through investigation and information you get from talking to people. Along the way you unravel more story, fighting people as you go. I'll post more tomorrow (posting from wii, took me like 30 minutes to type that.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JvYY8RyAtQ Man the voice acting was so bad. At the time though, voice acting was still pretty new in games (well kinda). That's why I liked the japanese language with english sub in Shenmue 2. Hahahaha If you want a explaination then listen to none other than the great Chai. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQTfR8HdU7Y There was this awesome QTE in Shenmue 2. You had to walk through this market in Hong Kong. There was this chick you needed to catch at the other end you see. Although every mofo was trying to stop you. So you walked through and some guy has a go (press B button!!!) and Ryo judo flips his ass through a fruit stand. This other guy was like "hey you!" and you where like "lol" and backhanded him through some other stand. This went on for like 10 minutes. It was awesome. I think they will drop QTE from Shenmue online, I mean, how could they have it on an online game. I could only see it if there where solo quests and that. Anyway, I hope they find a way because the QTE's where awesome. @Guido. That comic was in a Dreamcast magazine ages ago. I remember they found it funny and so they put it there. It's so true as well. Never figured it was from penny Arcade. Edit: Guys, I was playing Jet Set Radio yesterday, I'm going to play Shenmue 1 and 2 through again. It's going to rock. And take a couple of days. I always play through the game and get hooked on Space Harrier. Which reminds me. I hope Shenmue online had an Arcade like Shenmue 1 and 2. I loved playing Super Hang On and Space Harrier.
